I have just bought an un-decorated Kato SD-40 which will become CGW #407.
It runs and looks great.
Anyone had experience of these models?

Good choice on a roadname!

I only have two from the very first run of these, but they are excellent locomotives.

Haven't touched them in a long time, as I made the switch to modeling CGW in n-scale...

At one time, I had three in N scale. Looked great! Am sure that the HO version will be just as nice!

Steve-

I tried to respond to your last e-mail. It kept bouncing. :(

I have one Kato SD40, although I have never ran it more than 2 yards as its awating to be cut up into a SDP40...... But a friend of mine has two of them and they both run great, we did find that they do not like curves tighter than about 20 inches or they pull cars longer than 50' off the track.
