I have always liked the looks of the Kato trams. I finally added a track section to be finished like a tram line to my smallish N scale layout. I ended up with a in out out section about a total length of 14'. It curves around a bit and changes elevation. I looked into and asked about all the reversers on the market and ended up with the basic Bazooka reverser. It is a nicely put together unit and works very well. You have to isolate one piece of track at each end and run a few wires, but it works great. The tram runs from end to end stops for a bit then takes off the other way. It works exactly like I wanted it to. The Kato Portram is a beautiful piece of work, runs great, is very realistic. Not cheap, but nice. This section is just DC, so it is separate electrically isolated from the rest of the layout. I post a pic or two later. just want to say, it is a nice feature to add to a layout. I run it on regular Kato track.
