Kato Pocket Line Steeple Cab Traction Locomotive

I've just picked up one of these here in the UK. I want to fit a decoder and can get the body off but can't see how to access the motor. Any help/advice (and pictures??) very gratefully received

What decoder are you going to install?

I have an idea to hack one of these for an industrial loco.

Is it possible to install magnetic couplers and have a nice switching layout?

 

I don't know if you can do it.
A workaround might be to have a short car at either side. Possibly create a very short flat car.
