Hi, Greetings from Fairbanks, Alaska! Ive been a train buff since i was 10 or roughly 50 years! Im currently modeling O Scale but have done HO, N, Z. I am a retired master sergeant from the Air Force but still work for a family air line here in Fairbanks! I have a few videos on Youtube showing my current layout peogress and a bit of my collection. I welcome anyone who has a question or needs help! I do a lot of electronic upgrades, and TMCC and lights and sound features! Happy Model Railroading!
Hi Richard, Welcome, happy to have you on board. What ID do I use to locate and view your YouTube videos? I have been in Fairbanks only twice, in July 1962. The first time was landing on my way to the BMEWS site in Clear, and the second was two weeks later as I was leaving. Unfortunately no time to enjoy your fair city.
Hi, do a search on Richard Oehrig on youtube should bring up 34 videos two are on the SD75 one when i first received it with original sound and one when i upgraded to the appropriated prime mover sound! My regular email is cr_encourager@friendschurch.org. Enjoy
Laughing, Yeah alaska even uses the Sante fe blue and yellow on their engines! I grew up in Texas and my first train was Lionel Atsf warbonnet fs. Now I have nearly every version of diesel in Atsf, UP, SP an d Alaska.
Howdy, Richard. Welcome, and happy to have you aboard. I've never been to Fairbanks; just as far as Denali. But a trip from Seaward to Fairbanks and back is on my bucket list!
