New member here, but long time train enthusiast. N scaler but do own a couple Lionel sets and a couple HO collectibles. Recently divorced and getting things together to start a new layout in my new house. Going to go Backwards in time, Modelling the Chessie System as if it was the current corporation having incorporated the CSX, C&O, B&O and WM into it. I currently have a couple undecorated SD70ACes I'm going to send out for custom paint and while they are out I'll be adding DCC and sound to the mechanisms. I also want to do that with a couple GEVOs, still undecided as to what decoder/sound I want to use though.

Thanks for the welcome, my collection used to be huge at one time, I had all of the NSC/NSE Coors cars and locomotives, and tons of locos and sets but not having a place to setup or display them I liquidated a lot of it and used the money for my other hobby (High Power Model Rocketry). But now I have a house to myself I can use any space I want! So I am considering using both front bedrooms on the 3rd floor (one is an office) for trains, cutting a hole between them for the layout to pass through between the rooms. Effectively giving me an 11x18ft train room!
