Just got a Walthers 4 pack of stand alone well cars (TTX) and the 5 pack of articulated well cars (APL). Boy are they purdy! As mentioned in another post, they are nice n heavy but roll like crap. Sooooo I put MT #1087's on the stand alone's and the end cars of the artic's and 1036's on the rest of the artic's. Now they roll sa-mooth! Email me if if ya wanna know where I got them as they are on clearance sale.
Hey Ed, Easy conversion. However(comma) I've only tested them on straight track, not any type of radius so I don't know if I have to do the dremel treatment like you were talking about.
My old Walthers units rolled like bricks over rail ties... not too good However, they are now gone. I hope the new units suit you well Harold
