Not the best of pictures, but over three days last weekend me and my friends created a big modular layout. I spent a day sorting incoming freight into the yard, and then set off across the city areas spotting cars at industries. Here, one of my Belt Railway Geeps pulls in , ready to spot some hoppers at a cement plant. Always grateful for good times like these.

Thanks for the cool photo, HH. It sounds like you had a great time.

P.S. The module in the photo looks fantastic.

Yep, arrive early Friday- we book a venue in a convenient spot in the UK, set up, trains running by midday. Run until 4 p.m. Sunday, take down , go home. It works for us, some have home layouts, but most, just modules. We meet every quarter. We do a couple of exhibitions a year, and offer a break to the parents by letting the kids drive trains. Spent a couple of hours at one exhibition with an autistic child and their parents, we got a letter afterwards thanking us for making their child so happy for that short while. Kids especially relate to the sound equipped trains, it enriches the experience to make the correct horn sounds for crossings etc. They also love looking out for the signals. I hope they will become future enthusiasts- hell, one day i've got to leave this stuff for somebody!
