Greetings all, just joined up, hope to get to know some of you, my train intrest's are mainly steam, I'm modeling the 30's, freelanced, in the Copperhill,TN area, thus the name of my railroad. Copperhill & Daus. Stumpy
HEE HEE HEE! BY GOLLY, WEES WELCOMES YA'll STUMPY! Just make sure you keep your eattin' teeth in. Have fun here and make sure you check out the other modeling sites. A few I'd suggest for your Model Railroad would be "The Photograghy Forum", "The Inspection Pit" and "The Free-Lancers Forum". Chuck-full of info for a fellow Free-Lancer and Model Railroader. There's also some great discussions going on in the "On the Road" and "Railfan and Rail Events" Forums. You can add your signature by going to "PROFILES" and follow the instructions. It will allow you to do cool things like this: ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot! "Ship it on the Route of The Roadrunners!" The Aransas Odessa & Western, a division of the BNSF
Welcome a'board Stumpy. I hope you are better off than my wife's pet parrot! When she got him, he had no tail feathers, so- you guessed it- she named him "Stumpy"! Small world Fellow steam hog, huh? I have a sister-in-law lives up in the hills around Knoxville, and I have visited there. Beautiful country! What are you freelancing in? N,HO, full size? Tell us about it. We wont laugh at you, (they snicker at me once in awhile, but figure I'll out-live 'em,) ------------------ Watash
welcome to trainboard Stumpy I'm sure you will find a lot of enjoyment at this site. Feel free to post or just drop by and see what is happening. Don't forget to check The Inspection Pit as this is where all genearl hobby subjects are discussed ------------------ Regards Paul Cassar-# Member number 50 SPAD Investigator #1 ICQ 61198217 http://users.bigpond.net.au/railroad2000

Thanks everyone, sorry about the delay in getting back to this board, been locked in the train room. Stumpy
I tried that, but my wife found a BIG crow bar, now I can't get locked in. (The door is in the trash). I just blow the whistle ever so often! Drives her NUTS! ------------------ Watash
Stumpy, the first thing you need to know is Watash and I are both steam hogs, there's a few other like us lurking in the shadows, but the rest of guys like them stinky, girly painted engines, especially Maxwell Plant. Gotta tell ya Stumpy, if you showed him a Consoladation, he'd probably want to put pin stripes all over and hang fuzzy dice from the glass. Lord knows what he'd paint on the automatic stoker. All kidding aside, lots of good HO, N and DCC info and real RR info and fun here. ------------------ When in doubt, empty your magazine. Member #33

Welcome Aboard Stumpy! If you're not carefull, you'll get addicted to Trainboard. I did, and now I visit everyday Have fun here. You can learn lots form so many different people, and you can teach us some of your tricks. I'm a fellow HO lover, but I love the diesels ------------------ Drew WISCONSIN CENTRAL LTD.
I heard if you hook up a properly tuned SD90MAC-H to a steam engine end to end and open them both up...

Hey Catt, when you do that new custom peddal car, don't forget the tail fins and fender skirts! I would have enjoyed having the paint colors of today, back in the forties for my cars! Candy Burgandy was my main color with mother of pearl peach top, trimmed in Cordovan. Had a lot of fun then! Ha! ------------------ Watash
