    Hello all...
Building this model railroad has indulged a number of similar hobbies...photography, history, hiking and backpacking...
I've been trying to find info on the old Santa Fe line, before the Crookton cutoff was constructed...and specifically, the flyover and tunnel between Seligman and Ash Fork...
studying Google maps...I believe I've found the old main(s)....is this the area where Johnson Canyon and the tunnel is?...it's really difficult to tell from this view, but it seems the only logical place on this line...

    https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msi...l=35.282158,-112.675159&spn=0.004099,0.009602

    Thanks,
    Bruce

    Kenneth,
    I don't have that issue...but I searched it...
Does that issue have a map of the 'new' line?...I'm looking for a map of the 'old' line that the Crookton cutoff replaced...
    Respectfully,
    Bruce

Bruce, Send me a pm if you still seek this info. I grew up in Flagstaff so i know the area quite well.

The flyover you seek is "GLEED" there is Nothing there, but a small cemetery,From the RR days. The location you have picked on google earth is not what you seek.

Two books you should read is One by David Myrick Railroads threw Arizona santa fe route #4
As well as supercheifs, and canyon lands threw Arizona by Joe mcmillian. Vol 5.
I am moving so all my stuff is packaged away. If you shoot me a pm ill do a screen shot of johnson canyon for you.

    Bruce,
Are you modeling the Johnson Canyon tunnel and surrounding areas? I have hiked the area quite a few times and have many pictures of it.
