That is why I quit the trucking business. In the 25 years I spend as a truck driver there were far too many 12 hour days, 6 days a week and that was local work. When I was over the road, I'd leave Sunday Afternoon and not get home until the following Saturday Morning. Enough was enough, I now work for the railroad in the mechanical department. I'm working as a locomotive electrician in the engine house, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 20 minute paid lunch. My work days are Saturday through Wednesday. Of course it took me 6 years to get daylight, I started off on the graveyard shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) then was lucky to make it to swing shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) before finally landing a position on daylight. In another 10 years (at the ripe old age of 67) everyday will be a Saturday
