Did you survive the New Years celebration? I think I did.

Well as discussed on Friday, I did accomplish most of what I set out to do. Saturday I spent the afternoon with a buddy who enjoys running the vintage Aurora slot cars and we both went to a slot car shop to get parts and geek out on the many cool cars. From there I stopped into my not so local hobby shop to see if there was anything new going on. I bumped into my buddy Brian along the way then headed home.

Sunday we were busy taking all the Christmas decorations, inside and out, down and put away. Then it was time to clean the house. This took all day so by 6:00, we all just had a light supper and watched a movie.

Monday, I cleaned and organized the upstairs storage room as well as the common area before turning my attention to the shop, ending all cleaning around 9:00PM. Now its back to work.

So how about you? What did you accomplish this past New Years weekend? Let us know. We now return to our regular scheduled programming until Memorial Day, which seams like a long ways away. We'll all come back here on Friday the 6th to start off another weekend. Until then, Have a great return to work, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

    Happy New Year all!!!
Over the weekend I did get some modeling done. "Betwixt and Between" taking down decorations, watching football, and dealing w/ our traditional New Years Eve lobsters.

Managed to get an extension built to the mainline. This will eventually connect my center penninsula with Albemarle City by way of 2 RR bridges. Got several Tortoise machines installed (not wired), and also made good progress on the RR bridges I'll need to keep extending the mainline. It was the sort of weekend where I got quite a bit done but not much eye-candy to show for it.

Good to see Wolfgang's work. Inspirational.

Yep, I survived the New Years Celebration.

Me? What did I accomplish over the weekend. Nothing, absolutely nothing at all. To busy going in different directions. Sound system to run for a church service. Christmas decorations to take down. A fourteen foot Christmas tree to cut down and haul off.

Saturday was pay day, so shopping to do, bills to pay, debts to satisfy outside of the normal bills.

Saw the ball drop and said that's it. Happy New Year! And only my four pawed girl friends and their boyfriends were around to hear it.

Did a little weathering this weekend, on the Athearn RTR Frisco SD40-2. Used light airbrush sprays of Acrylic washes layered and weathering chalks.

I'm still recovering from a respiratory infection so not much happened beyond a little casual planning. I did sleep a lot though. LOL
