Don't have any photo's to share but I can't imagine not being able to go through Glenwood Canyon again on Amtrak as that is just a wonderful trip through the Rocky Mountains in deep canyons.

    :( :( :( :( :(

kinda glad you posted this...... Went to the Amtrak site to see if they had any news and I noticed they changed the Departure time for the Sunset Limited to 1430 out of LAUPT, which means a I had to change my flight times Thanks in way!!!!

I just hope some regional service springs up in their place, like the joint Caltran-Amtrak venture of Surfliner service did in place of the old San Diegan. Regional and commuter rail travel is a great idea in some places. I rode the new Los Angeles commuter trains all around the city for $3 the other day, and they were fast, much faster than a car could have been getting around the freeways.

Amtrack changed the times of the sunset because UP is doing a lot of track work west of el paso. I will be takening two tripw this year on amtrack including a east bound one through glenn canyon in may.
