    No, your not late to the station. The train is early this week, but like me, perhaps today is your Friday and it's time for another installment of Weekend Modeling Plans.

    This is the big weekend for me, one I have been getting ready for since I moved back home in May. Galesburg RR Days is my favorite train show of all time. Mainly because I get to see all my old friends, but also it is three days packed with model trains, full scale trains and great food. How could you go wrong? So for my weekend modeling plans, I have a display I set up every year along with Bill Selleck and this year I will be conducting a seminar on N scale diesel detailing. With the Iowa Interstate GP38-2 done, I can add some fresh meat to the display.

    This is last years display for the CB&Q GP40 #629 I had just completed. It will return along with some of my other projects.

    My T-Trak modules as of this writing are still not done, but the Roadkill Cafe is largely finished. I hope to have both modules done and presentable so they can join my clubs T-Trak layout in the GYM.

    While not modeling per say, a lot of my time tomorrow and Saturday will be done behind the wheel of Jess as I railfan around the Galesburg area. I finished my scanner mod so listening track side will be a bit easier. I posted a how to in the Railfan area if anyone is interested. Galesburg is a busy place, where former Santa Fe trackage met former Burlington Northern and former Chicago Burlington & Quincy trackage. [IMG]

    So for me, it will be a big weekend. I hope to post updates each night from my hotel room, kind of a "wish you were here" thread for those who can't make it. If you are anywhere in Illinois, or parts of Iowa, Indiana or central Midwest, you should check it out. Here is a shameless plug:

    If you do go and see the green Railfan Jeep, stop by and say hi.

    So how about you? Are you coming to Galesburg or maybe another train show? Does this weekend have track work or yard work in it? Maybe your club is hosting an open house. Whatever your plans, let us know, maybe with a picture or two. We'll come back on Monday, June 25th and see how well we all did. Until then,

    High Greens!

    I should be able to get that other section of street-running track installed. Saturday looks like an iffy day, weather-wise, and I don't have any other plans (that I've been told about yet, anyway.) I'd like to get the house of ill repute a bit further along. I need to at least get a couple of walls together so I can place the building and begin laying in the streets and sidewalks. I'll be scratch-building another short bridge over the canal, so I may start on that, too.

    @Jim,
    have fun, and post pics!

    I hope to get the foam glued to my new benchwork, and the last of the custom made end brackets installed as well (I am doing light weight shelf style benchwork. Also need to clean out the train room - it's become an early summer clutter receptacle . . .

    The track I ordered for my T-Trak yard modules arrived yesterday, so over the weekend I should be able to get all the switches down on both end modules and I can begin building the middle modules.
