Hard to believe that was our last weekend of September, we're heading into October soon. Hope you had a great weekend and got lots done.

Friday I was able to get more work done on a customers GP30 as well as get other items for the shop done. Saturday I worked on the layout a bit then visited an old N scale buddy in Bloomington to get some much needed detail parts. We ran some trains on his layout he has been working on and talked about upcoming projects. It was nice albeit hot and humid, so the ride up and back in Jess was nice.

Sunday I spent most of the morning designing Inglenook layouts for our up coming Mid Sate Prototype Modelers group project. It's a fall/winter project for some of the guys who do not have a lot of room for a large layout and want to learn more on operations. I spent a good amount of the day doing that, then it was off to perform domestic duties.

So how about you? What did you get done this weekend? Let us know. Well assemble once again on Friday the 30th to start off a new month. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Had a pretty good weekend. I did get my backdrop painted, here's the final result...

There's more photos and details over on my Weaver Junction thread.

I also cleaned track on my roundy-round and ran some trains. I've decided that I'm not going to work on it anymore, the trackwork is terrible and frustrating to do more than just run the loops. It's time to start planning a HCD.

Also moved along with my warehouse, painting the brickwork. That's slow progress, but it'll get there eventually.

I built an extension to the benchwork in front of the main city on my layout, cut and put in the plywood risers over the same section of bench (34" x 19'), and then got the plywood put down over the same area. Homasote roadbed will go over the plywood.

I didnt get one thing done on the MRR this or the past few weekends.
I did however get the last MW conversion done for my SL-SF MW train. An Athearn chair car, opened the vestibule ends made a couple bulkheads, and doors.
Not too much as far as details, Just painted and decaled the car weathered it up just a little.
Glad I am done with this little project.

That subtle weathering goes a long way towards that car's realism. Nice.
