Well we have done it again, another weekend is behind us. How did you do?

My weekend of Friday and Sunday were good. Friday I worked on a few loose ends in the shop but it was Sunday I got the most done. Sunday I had the house to myself as Jared had to ref some games and Angela was his transport service.
I started by working on the modules and installed the NCE Mini Panel and associated wiring then installed the New Rail Models Throttle Pocket. I went ahead and programmed one of my B&M locomotives and gave a quick test run. I finally printed the decals for the CB&Q NW-2 switcher. The numbers are so small, you need an optivisor to seem em, but they are there! I'll finish this Tuesday. Last but not least, I finished the O scale decals and sent them off to the printer so I can finish that two rail, O scale GP60. All in all a good weekend.

So how about you? Did you get a lot done? Let us know. Before you know it, it will be Friday once again and we'll meet back here on the 18th. Until then, have a great week, be safe and...

    High Greens!

Not much in modeling, save for fixing an old Atlas SD35 that was acting up. There was an intermittent short circuit, which I eventually found. It was the front flywheel that had somehow :cautious: managed to slide back on the shaft enough to occasionally touch one of the motor contact pins that stick out about 1/4 inch... Pulling on the flywheel, I managed to move it far enough so it wouldn't short out anymore. An hour's worth of running made sure that it was not a recurring problem.

This was a productive weekend. Friday and Saturday I cleaned up my timetable a bit and added a part that I missed. Sunday when I got home I got busy. I got back to wiring. My son helped out and between us I got more done than expected. He climbed under neath and fed the feeder wires through the holes I drilled. I soldered then he attached the feeders to the bus with IDC's. Saves me a whole lot of time. After we did that I finished up the night by installing some more car card boxes on the fascia. Still have more wiring to do but a whole lot less now.

I didn't get any model railroading work done, but I did assemble an easy Star Wars kit and my Gundam is just about complete. They're helping me get back into practice!

Got the base layer of the main road through town done. I used the Woodland Scenic's system which worked pretty well. Part of it had to be done twice as I didn't get it very even the first time - it looks better now.

This week's goal will be to sand this road to prepare for paint, as well as start "pouring" some of the others. Then painting with concrete color, striping and weathering :).

Didn't get nearly done what I envisioned. Got almost nothing done in the trainroom this weekend. Did make good progress on the H W Myers kit I'm building. Had a great tailgate Saturday afternoon before the NC State - Eastern Kentucky game. What does that have to do w/ trains? The old Southern (now N-S of course) mainline still runs by Carter-Finley Stadium so I got to hear several great horns and track rumbles before the game.

Had another successful day today. My weekend ends tomorrow (Tuesday night). I continued wiring. My son helped again for a bit tonight and we got a lot done. After he left for bed I continued and I am about 80% complete on the wiring. I also glued down one more piece of track and tomorrow it will be wired as well. At this rate I will be hitting the hardware store for lumber in a week and a half so I can finish building the swing bridge and the staging yard. Then it's more wiring and then I star scenery.
