Another weekend is in the books, how did you do on your list?

My first real weekend off since June was nice. Saturday I watched Jared's high school soccer game play their last game of the season then went to Menards to get the last of the vinyl flooring I needed for the new work shop. I ended up working and finishing the shop that night and the shop now has a nice, easy to clean vinyl floor versus the outdated linoleum and carpet that was in place when we moved in. With the floor down, I set up the Galesburg City Job modules and got them in place and level. Sunday Ang and I had a nice breakfast and just drove around the country side. I did stop at my favorite hobby shop and pick up a bottle of primer. Other than that, a rather quiet weekend.

So how about you? What did you get to cross off your list this weekend? Let us know. We'll come back and do it all over again on Friday the 23rd. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and...

    High Greens!

Got some paint for use on backdrops. Also, a bottle of Krud Kutter to try out on plastics which need cleaning before painting.

mostly decaled the "b" sides of the three train cars I posted last week, in between two different soccer games, a neighborhood street festival, and a visit to Monster Glow-in-the-dark mini golf.

I got in some more practice using my air brush. I'm slowly getting the hang of it, with thinning the paint being the hardest part. I decaled and cleared the cockpit on my Zero and then assembled it. I'll get to putting the fuselage together today. I'm really happy with the way things are going so when I start painting and weathering model rail equipment and structures, I should have it down.

I took a couple vacation days so my weekend started Thursday. Day 1 was a total loss. Nothing done.
Day 2 I winterized the trailer and put some stuff away in the garage then hit the hardware store.
Day 3 Saturday I spent the day cutting lumber while my wife and kids did the sanding. I started to put together two out of three carts I am needing for my portable staging yard. Had to stop when it started raining. [IMG][IMG]
    Day 4 more rain
Day 5 had to head to the school for my volunteer session
Day 6 today- more sanding, building. No rain today.

Trains don't go in the garage. Just building stuff there. I have. While room dedicated inside.

I agree. I had trains in a garage once. It's either too hot or too cold.

My room is 10' x 17' . Since the stagin yard doesn't fit inside the room I decided to make it portable on three carts. I can move it in and out. These will be set up in the hallway outside the room. Keeps my wife happy that I am not taking over the whole house and I still can use the space. Win win
