    The calendar has turned another page as we get closer to longer days and more shows. Time to see how we all did this past weekend.

    Saturday did not turn out as I had expected. The track I needed for my T-Trak modules was not in yet and a some domestic issues kept me from doing anything Saturday. Sunday I spent a bit of time working on the T-Trak projects but nothing of any noteable progress. I'm really stuck until warmer weather returns on many of my projects, and warmer weather is not in the forcast any time soon, so until then the projects will have to wait.

    So how about you? What projects did you get done over the weekend? We want to know! Tell us and show us what you got done on your layout, module or club layouts. We'll come back again on Friday the 7th and do it all over again. Until then, have a safe week and...

    High Greens!

    I went skiing in Maine and froze my caboose.

    On a brighter side, set your fast clocks ahead one hour next Saturday night for Daylight Savings Time.

    On Saturday I hit the show in Ogden, UT. Found a few needed items but not much. I pulled out some more track for the next section of layout. I also started building my turntable. I have a walthers 90' turntable kit. I got the motor assembly completed and tested and works great. Went to the next step and found I was missing a major part. I gotta go buy some rail then I can finish it. Also need a decoder for it. Realizing how I want to power the turntable and HOn30 sections I need some toggle switches to turn power off to those areas so I don't reprogram decoders.

    I also was able to cut the foam board for the mountain backing and roadbed holder for the HOn30 line. So this weekend was a little slow.

    Next on the list for next week?

    Finish turntable
    Cut out bench work hole for a canyon/ravine (got a great scene idea)
    Lay track for the HOn30 line and start wiring it
    Start making mountain

    * Finished numbering SD35 #2806.

    * I also finished numbering SD45 #4508 and nearly completed 4533, 4555 and 4520 still await..... and 4547 which was done years ago needs work also.
    * I also patched an F7B, can't remember what number I had assigned to it, it was a 1300 series but my updates roster is on my work computer, that will have to wait.
    * Applied black paint to an undecorated Atlas H16-44. Swapped AAR Type B truck frames with solid bearings over to upgraded roller bearings. Hope to have it reassembled and numbers applied this week. I wish I had a use for the solid bearing Type B trucks and the FM standard trucks frame, as well.

    I started on the repaint/renumber of a dummy SD40-2 (one of two). It was in the CN-map scheme, but I gave it zebra stripes and renumbered it to something more appropriate for a CN SD40-2 with no dynamics. I just have to put the cab window glazing and other accessories back in and button her up again. The other SD dummy is already in CN zebra stripes but it has the same number as a powered unit I have, so it's going to get renumbered. It's going to be neat to see three SD40-2s strung together - plenty of power!
