The weekend is gone, like a flash. Hope you had a good one, cause it's time to see how we did.

As predicted for Saturday, nothing in the shop at home got done. We had our sale but a rather small attendance showed up to buy. I sold some stuff, but not nearly as much as I wanted to. In the end however, I made a decent amount of money and a bit less to take home.

Sunday I worked on finishing the decoder install in a customers Rock Island unit then turned my attention to my Inglenook project. The Inglenook project is built on a T-Kits 3 foot wide T-Trak module and is inspired by the micro layouts that are so popular in the United Kingdom. It was brought up in my close circle of friends who are apartment dwellers who wanted a space to model and operate where even a modest hollow core door layout is not feasible. In an effort to stick with scale fidelity and a prototypical feel, we are using code 55 track and either scratch built or laser cut structure kits. Yesterday I installed the bus line underneath the module. Bus line? Yes bus line as I've designed this little Inglenook for DCC and future expansion thanks to the T-Kits modules. Here you can see the mainline is getting roughed in pencil lines drawn for the two spurs. I may start a thread on this if time allows. All in all, a nice, albeit short, relaxing day.

So how about you? What did you accomplish over the weekend? Hopefully more than I. Step right up and let us know of your model railroading accomplishments and/or what variety of "rock" you got. We'll assemble again on Friday the 17th to start off another weekend. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and as always...

As planned, I worked on bridges this weekend. Saturday I finished the Walthers double track bridge I started several weeks ago. Also built up beams for the sidewall of the CVM Parker Truss bridge I have under construction. Sunday, I finished the guard-rails on the Walthers Bridge. For the guard-rails, I used N scale track which fit perfectly between the HO rails. Using the N scale track also holds it together while I bend and solder the points of the guard-rail. Here's a shot before I painted, and then after painting. I will still (at some point) weather it up just a little before the final installation.

Industrial Saticoy now has power -- power poles have been installed (Photos to follow - shortly). I continued my rolling stock trouble shooting/tune up. Just about got them all squared away. This can be one those extremely frustrating jobs.

Hope ya'll had a great weekend,
    Wolf

Having spent a lot of time working in the town of Logan on the layout, I finally went back and started to update the town of Anceny. It has been long neglected and I figured that it was about time some more work be done on it. Here are a few of the homes in town.

I have a fence under construction that will go behind these homes to separate then from the siding behind them.

At the other end of town, the gravel was put down in the diner parking lot and the road behind it as well as some ground cover around the grain elevator.

The freight station to the right of the grain elevator has been sitting on my work bench for months. It is a Woodlamd Scenics O'Leary's Ice House kit that I added a larger loading dock to.

The next project to the town will be the grade crossing to the right of the last photo. Once this is done, the ballasting of the tracks can be completed.

Here's an overall shot of the town.

I did get a lot of time to run trains while the glue was drying.
