Welcome back everyone and welcome to December! Based on Friday's thread, we were busy! Let's get started.

Saturday: Great day at work and it went by fast. Angela and Jared were home in time to make one of my favorite dinners so after work I went to my favorite hardware store and picked up a few needed supplies for both the 3-Rail O Christmas display and my CTC panel for the B&M layout.

Sunday: A very productive day. I was able to finish sand the two end table or curve sections of the Christmas display and start spraying them with white wood primer. I got two of the three coats down with the necessary sanding done in between. I also built the three straight sections using half inch plywood and 1/4-inch Baltic Birch ply as end caps to cover the bare plywood. All three sections are cut out and will be glued together throughout the week. Not much left to do other than stain the legs and cover with poly and prime and paint the rest white and secure the track. The hardest part now is finding the 2018 and 2019 MTH Railking Christmas cars.

So how about you? How did everything go for everyone? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Friday the 6th to start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week, be safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Got a little bit of scenery work done and looked into some ideas of scenes I'd like to do on Saturday. Also managed to get some wood cut for some shelves for the closet in the train room. Guess that counts too. Sunday was Christmas tree shopping so no layout time.

Well. Got my painting done for the layout skirt. Good news was it did not take that long to do. Bad news was I used a Sherwin Williams flat latex "Cashmere" and I am not happy with it. It is a primer/paint base so I can easily paint over it. I do like the color a lot, but the paint scuffs to easily. I will probably get the same color in a hard shell of some sort. First time I have had this problem on tempered hardboard. Usually the paint does really well. I think this is a "paint" issue and I forgot the golden rule of "you get what you pay for".

    In any event...

I also did get all my UP5 panels installed as well as relocated the UR-91 and UR-92 to the staging yard area. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday. It was a good week.

The last thing I did was begin drawing a diagram/elevation for the Murphysboro, IL, freight house. It is still in process. :)

@Jim Wiggin Nice to see you again. Hope all is good in your world.
Drew up plans for an N Scale container home I intend to make from card stock or heavy paper. It will be more of a 'place holder' until I can make one from actual containers.

I got the prep work done for the clinic. Three trees made and a few pieces done up.

Saturday I didn’t do much. I’m a bit burned out and having a hard time getting back to the bench.

Sunday I put the wi yet/Christmas scene back up I built last year.

My wife got a new piece to her Christmas village. A train station. She now has it complete for the year.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
