We are back! Did you survive your weekend? Did you get a lot done?

As promised, Saturday was a busy day. My day got started around 8:30 with me firing up the airbrush and getting to work. When the dust settled, er I mean, paint, I had this on the bench.

    What you see here is:
    • 2 2-Rail O cars painted for the Bloomer Line (Yes my friend has another 6 after this!)
    • 4 Micro Trains boxcars painted for RDG
    • 3 Micro Trains boxcars painted for B&M
    • 2 Micro Trains boxcars painted for D&H
    • 2 Micro Trains boxcars painted for the Union Railroad of Oregon
    • 3 Kato F7B's painted for early 1970's B&M
Yes, I was busy! It was a very productive day in the shop and all my equipment got a good work out. The reason for so much painting is all in preparation for the 8th Annual Ohio N Scale Weekend in Columbus Ohio, May 13th - 15th. Wiggin Locomotive Works will have a table there this year with all sorts of N scale custom paint, so until then, I'll be stocking up on all the N scale.

Sunday was more relaxed. The weather was cold, windy and rainy and maybe because of this, I didn't feel so well. I ended up sleeping most of the morning as Jared and Angela went to soccer. By 1:00 I felt a bit better so I dragged myself into the shop. I first finished the arduous task of taxes..blah! Then I went to work on the modules.

It doesn't look like much, but if you look, you'll see I cut out the remaining sections of 4th street and I just started adding the concrete that will cover most of module 2 for the Butler complex. My buddy from the north is coming down in three weeks to help me ballast and apply static grass, so I'm trying to get all the concrete and asphalt work done before he comes. If all goes as planned, I can start adding structures to the modules for our second display at Ohio N Scale Weekend. So a very busy and fulfilling weekend indeed.

So how about you? What did you accomplish? A bit of track work? Some scenery? Maybe so DCC work? Let us know, with an image or two if you have them. We'll come back on Friday the 15th and start the process all over again. Until then, have a safe week and...

    High Greens!

I had a very productive model railroading weekend. Redid a couple of control panels. Wired up the last two turnouts. Painted the final few pieces of rail (Roundhouse whisker tracks). Next will be to install another string of LED's on the valence. Then - it should be full speed ahead on landscaping. Getting all of the PITA stuff done. Been procrastinating on it to long.

Thanks - hope ya'll had a great weekend,
    Wolf

I did fasten down more track on my switching layout. My original roundy-round layout has spectacularly bad trackwork, so I'm being extra particular on this version. Once this is well underway, I'll scrap the original and start over on that one.

    Jim:
Painting weekends were always some of my favorite. Just means I get to decal which is one my favorite chores in this hobby.

Didn't get squat done this weekend on the RR. Traveled out of town to see some old friends play some music. This weekend, I'm looking forward to getting back in the room for more benchwork.

Nothing here. Springtime household stuff required what energies I had available.

No modeling was done on my part, but the Ferrari Challenge was fun. That said, I am not those kind of people. One thing I can say is, Ferrari and Porsche owners at least drive their cars. I watched two La Ferraris that were $1+ million race around the track in the rain. Ferraris are beautiful, but I'll stick to my Japanese cars. Oh, and trains. Trains are my first love!
