Another weekend has come to an end. Did you get everything done you had hoped to get done?

My short answer is no. The Soccer games and Angela's 20th school reunion plus shopping and other domestic chores brought my modeling time for the entire weekend to just four hours. That sliver of time was used to finish a plane for the last RC show of the year. I did check to make sure I had everything I need for the realignment that will be needed on my N scale layout which will take place right after Milwaukee Trainfest. It looks like I have all the items I need so that will be the next big project in the work shop in the coming weeks.

How about you? Did you dodge the domestic bullet and get some things done on your pike? Maybe scenery or track work? How about module work or wiring? Whatever you did this past weekend, let us know! With pictures is even better. We'll come back and do it again on Friday the 19th. Until then...

I spent most of weekend going places. Worked around the house on Friday. Beautiful weather on both Saturday and Sunday, so the wife and I went for a drive.

I did find time to cut off and file switch points for the Main Track - A/D Track crossover. Temporarily placed points on the main and ran a cut of cars across. Everything rolled fine over the points, the frog needs attention. Glad these are the last hand laid switches, the rest will be Peco or Shinohara.

Well, it wasn't modeling, but at least it was trains. We went up to Friends and Family weekend at my daughter Annie's college. Saturday was a beautiful New England fall day, with temperatures in the low fifties and bright, warm sunshine. My wife took a long bike ride along an old right-of-way, now converted to a bike trail with crushed stone. Meanwhile, I went to the Seashore Trolley Museum just outside of Kennebunkport. It was practically empty, but they had 2 trolleys running. I spent most of the time just wandering in and out of the car barns, where old trolleys and MOW equipment are awaiting restoration or ready to go. Some are blocked off, but many are open and I was able to wander through them. From the top level of a double-deck trolley from Glasgow, Scotland, I looked forward and saw the destination and route placards on a car that last ran in Rome. It's quite a collection.

I got up very early and weathered a dozen box cars one day and a handful of locos the next.

I am really trying to work on the art of *not* over doing it!

Mark, your layout and weathering results are tempting me to sell out and go back to N Scale!

I did forget to mention I touched up the stove pipe chimney and electrical meter drop and weathered the yard office, made it look muddy. Spring time in WV with no gutters makes everything soggy.

I didn't get everything done that I wanted to. I was able to form the contours of the stream bed under the bridge and make the bridge abutments but not to the point of pouring the water on my new T-Trak module. I did spruce up my HO modules for the show next Sunday. Got nothing done on my kitchen because I went down to Long Island to visit with friends on Saturday.
