Well another weekend is behind us, did you get all that you wanted to get done?

My plans of helping the club and working on some small projects fell through when Angela had some bad health problems start up. I took her to the immediate care late Friday night and spent my weekend helping her and getting domestic things done so modeling will have to wait till next weekend. Fortunately she seems to be doing better.

So how about you? Did any of you get in some layout time or module time? How about shows or open houses? Track work, wiring, scenery? Whatever you got done this weekend, tell us about it, with pictures if you can. We'll come back on Friday the 12th and do it all over again. Until then...

Out of town again over the weekend. I did get my new Nikon D3100, so I see better pictures from myself are coming in the near future.

    Oooooh......

It was a busy weekend, but not much train time. Our daughter Annie came home from college for the weekend. Saturday night we had a lot of fun with "family cooking." We made homemade raviolis, stuffed with ricotta, spinach, mushrooms and prociuto, and served with a Gorgonzola cheese sauce. It would be a lot of work for one chef, but having 3 of us it went pretty quickly. And the meal was worth every minute we spent making it.

I did a bit more work designing the Empire Tanning Company complex. This is the last of the pink foam visible on the layout. It's in the middle of a 4-foot loop, so there's a liftout in the center, requiring a lot of care and a lot of limitations for placing track and structures. I'm much happier with the latest design.

Sunday was the first train show of the season. It's a small show, about a half-hour away with a pleasant drive through the New England countryside. I picked up a couple of Milwaukee box cars, checked out the layouts, and visited the open house at the Pepperell Siding club. Finally, I got started on the caboose project. I've got a couple of pairs of Tomar Adlake lanterns. The real issue was getting the Milwaukee bay window cabeese apart. It turns out that they are really just a very snug fit, with a couple of plastic latches. I'll only be picking up power from two wheels on each side, so I think I'll pick up a couple of capacitors to help the lights ride over any dead spots.

I managed to do some work on the ExactRail Evans 4780CF Covered Hoppers, pictures are posted in the HO Scale "What's on your Workbench" Thread.

I also started work on on an Eastern Car Works ACF Covered Hopper kit and finished decaling then dull coated a 60' Boxcar and Athearn Chemical Tank car.

It was a cold and rainy weekend here. My Pellet stove came on to warm up the house. I was able to make the modules for my club members and myself while I was working on my kitchen. Tomorrow I have to go up to my not so local hobby shop (70 miles round trip) to pick up some Kato 62mm track sections. My module will have a bridge and water scene.

T-Trak. I'd like to see photos as these progress. I am thinking about a bridge module for this winter.
