Another weekend is in the hopper, did you achieve good results this weekend?

Like I stated Friday, I spent 75% of my weekend under an EZ-Up tent working for the magazine. I did get to visit with a good friend on Sunday who is a live steam enthusiast and runs mainly British roads. It was bitter sweet. He no more than finished his back yard empire when he lost his job and now is relocating to Toledo. So down comes the railroad and another good friend of mine moves on, such is life.

So how about you? How did you do this weekend? Let us know what you were up to and what you accomplished, with pictures if you have them. We'll start the process all over again on Friday the 30th. Until then, have a great week and...

The tannery has 4 major buildings, and each is in a different phase of construction. The Boiler House is pretty much done, as far as the parts in the kit are concerned. Over the weekend, I put the walls of the Tan Yard, now painted and mortared, together into a building and put it on its foundation. I haven't painted any of the roofs yet, though, and on this building the roof sections need to be glued in place or they'll fall down. Next down the assembly line is the beam house, which has all the walls assembled, painted and mortared as individual pieces. I started on the Finishing Building, and got the base and foundation assembled.

All the painting and mortaring is a long, slow process, and it's hard to work up much enthusiasm for it. This would be going faster if I were excited, but for now I'm kind of just plodding along. Once I get to interiors and the surrounding scenery, though, it will be more creative and I'll have more fun doing it.

Spent Saturday at the 9th Annual Bedford N Scale Weekend in Bedford, PA. Also railfanned CSX in those environs. Need to down load pics and do a formal report - perhaps tonight.

I didn't get anything done on my layout, but I did get a "hook up wire kit" that I ordered.
Sunday, I went with my son to watch drag racing. He goes to an automotive technical school in Sacramento and they put on a free day (free entry, free food) day of racing for the students. It was a lot of fun, especially when I finally got to see my son's teacher's 820+ horsepower Acura Integra!

Very little. I did order some pieces of hardware, so I can start a few more T-Trak modules.

Almost done w/ insulating the walls. Finish that and I have someone coming to insulate the ceiling. Then, its putting up sheetrock.

Slowly but surely, I'm getting the trainroom back.

Got more of my bench work completed. Finally finished my subbase and installed the backdrop divider. [IMG][IMG]
