Friday snuck up on us real quick. It's hard to believe but its now time to talk about what we plan to do this weekend.

For the first time in a while, I'll have what is considered a normal weekend. This is the weekend of the Decatur Train Fair so not only will my T-Trak modules be with the club like always, but this will be the first show for Wiggin Locomotive Works. I've been busy getting locomotives and product for this weekend and hopefully this will be a good weekend for the shop. My buddy who is the second half of the Galesburg City Job is coming down from Michigan tonight to spend the weekend with us. Originally we were planning on setting up our modules at the show too but the show coordinator did not have room. He has said that he will talk to us about setting up at the Spring show. Monticello IL is also having their RR Days, so that is on the list as well. We'll finish the days with a frosty beverage and some hot wings at a local establishment and hopefully watch a video about the local short line, the Bloomer. Should be a busy weekend.

So how about you? What do you have planned for this weekend? Bench work, track work, maybe some scenery? Let us know. We'll be back on Monday the 21st to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and...

    High Greens!

This past week was so productive its time to find some new projects. I finished all the wiring Thursday. All that is left now is my narrow gauge line, some track not laid as of yet and some area not even built. I glued some track down this week and when I can get some more supplies then I can wire that as well. Yesterday I also installed a decoder in a 2-6-6-2T. Easy install just remove the chip and replace it with a decoder. It's waiting to be programmed. Here is a pic. I have another one of these bought in the 80's that will need hard wiring. A little beyond my knowledge level at this time. [IMG]

I cleaned out the train room and stuck everything in the family room (yes I got yelled at) so that I could really clean the dust and crap up. Now to go through it and get rid of stuff not needed. I have magazines I am not using so out they go. I also cleaned the track and now am in the middle of running a vacuum over the layout to get all the crap up there so I can start the scenery. So that sums up my week and weekend plans.
