Another weekend is upon us, are you ready? No real model railroad activities this weekend as I head north for what may be my last model airplane show. In wake of recent events, I'm hoping to sell off many of my airplanes and concentrate on more model railroad projects continuing the end of this year and going forward. Next weekend is a big model railroad and railfan weekend, so I'll be getting ready for that! So how about you? What plans do you have this weekend? Let us know. We'll all come back on Monday the 15th and see how we all did. Until then... High Greens!
I'll be home this weekend, and I hope to do some more work on my truss bridge superstructure. I haven't touched the trains for a week now, with the trip to Maine last weekend and then life getting in the way. I've got to pick up an Atlas #6 left to replace a snap-switch that leads to the new staging area. I never really considered how sharp that turnout was, since it was just a siding for coal hoppers, but now that it's effectively part of the main line, I've got to go with something longer. This is on the original layout, so it will be Code 100 and I'll need an above-board switch machine as well. It's right over the subway.
Big weekend! Wife leaves for a "girls weekend" and taking our 16 m.o. with her. 48 hours of uninterrupted modeling work (and other small housekeeping chores) kicks off at 6 pm tonight. I've already applied striping to the engineer side of F7 #1617. Applied striping to BL2 #805 and GP9's #2214 and 2229 this morning. I better get fresh batteries in my radio so I can listen to the WVU-Maryland game at the work bench tomorrow. Sent from my LG-P930 using Tapatalk 2
