Friday is here again, hard to believe really. When I was young time seemed to be a substance of cold molasses but as I get older it runs like water. In a strange turn of events, my schedule has me with today off which is typical but also Sunday off. I have not had a Sunday off in a while but I'll take it! I would like to think I'll get a bunch of work done on my modules but I have two family members who will dictate otherwise. B&M300 by Jim Wiggin posted Sep 11, 2015 at 7:32 AM The third locomotive painted by Wiggin Locomotive Works emerged Wednesday night, so today I hope to get all the photography and editing done so I can add it to the website. At least I'll have a fair amount of items for next weeks train show in Decatur. If I can just get those pesky number boards done on the CB&Q NW-2, I can call that project done. The 3 SD50's for a customer are about done and the decal challenges of one of my Customers O scale GP60 is about done so it looks like today will be the day to fix all loose items. With the Decatur Train Fair next weekend, I really need to get some work done on the modules, so Sunday is a blessing. I need to install the NCE mini Panel as well as install ties and paint track. Overall, a busy few days. So how about you? Do you have plans this weekend? Let us know. We'll come back here on Monday 14th. In closing, I would be remiss in not remembering and so a typical "Hi Greens!" send off would not be appropriate today. 14 years ago today, this very morning, our lives changed forever. I don't want to debate current or past administrations, single out any one demographic, culture or religion but I do want to take a moment for us all to remember that horrific day. Please remember the Fathers, Mothers, Brothers, Sisters, Wives, Husbands that never came home. For the Police, Fire and Rescue personnel who worked their final watch. Please remember those who we have lost on this day of remembrance. Never Forget. United We Stand.
Well just doing a little clean up today of my new timetables and special instructions. Then Sunday I hope to continue the wiring. Did I ever mention that is not one of my favorite areas? It gets tedious and I don't like tedious.
Not modeling as such, but Saturday, I will be attending a special event at Exporail, the railway museum here, where diesels are in the spotlight. Among the activities are cab visits, a parade of operating locos (including some nice MLW-Alco power), and their passenger train will be operating to0, behind a recently donated CN SW1200RS. Needless to say, the inner kid in me is jumping up and down with glee!
NEVER FORGET!!!! Today is 11-9 and the anniversary of the attack on our country by worthless moslem slimeballs. Remember our Citizens, Firefighters and Police who were lost their lives on that dark day. Hoping to get to the three LK&R Ry. GP-30's
I'm hoping to finish cleaning up the old track on my 4x8 project and acquire some more free parts for use with it. Also, Cilfax Railroad days.
Hope to get the electrical bugs worked out of the MDC Mogul with Loksound. In N, which recquired the remotor pictured last weekend. Got a bit more done yesterday. And, yes, United We Stand, Divided We Fall!
As for modeling, nothing done this week, still about 105* in the garage. I need materials for some more warehouses. Did work with my hands and finished a honey-do project in time for the wonderful Arizona fall, I made four Adirondack chairs for the wife.
