Bring in the cat, send out the dog, brew up a cup of joe and get ready to settle into another weekend of model railroading. My apologies to George Knapp, but I had to steal a bit of his intro from his late night radio show.

Last Friday was great, got a lot accomplished. I was hopping that would be the case today but it looks like the current public school system has holidays set up so the day before and the day after said holiday are "no school days". I'll endeavor to accomplish some but with a teenager bumbing around, it will be a stretch.

Saturday I was to go railfaning but I have some domestic duties that will have to get done first. With Milwaukee only a few short weeks away, I still need to get a lot done on the modules. I have a new Tam Valley switch machine that I need to hook up as well as finish a few buildings.

Sunday maybe more of the same, sporadic spurts of modeling between teenage angst and girlfriend attention. Only another eight months and soon the shop will be a dedicated shop that doesn't serve as a freeway to enter teenager bedroom.

So how about you? What do you have planned for this weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble on Monday the 10th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Well, need to do a little car maintenance - (Oil change for the Wife's car). Then, back to work!! LOL. I hope to get started on the streets for both downtown areas. Perhaps some more ground cover.

Hope ya'll have an outstanding weekend,

Plans for tomorrow are not sure. We're probably going to the NC State-Notre Dame football game. But with Hurricane Matthew bearing down on the Carolina's, our area will get hit w/ a monsoon of rain from the storm's outer bands. As for modeling, I'll spend at least Sunday
    • Putting down some homasote road bed over what plywood base I have down.
    • Working on repairing some of the buildings I have unpacked after 8 years of storage. A few glue seams, etc. came undone during that time.
    • Working on a SRM (Myers Building) kit I started last year.
If the rain is too much to bear tomorrow at the stadium, we'll probably leave and I can get some other things done in either in the workshop or train room.
