Can you believe we are halfway through the month of October already? Man time flies. Now onto what we have planned for the weekend.

With the move behind me, I was able to finish all the organization for the work shop (Wiggin Locomotive Works) so now I can start working where I left off a few weeks ago. The decals for a customers O scale GP60 literally came in the day before we moved so that will be the first priority. I need to finish that up so I can get the fabrication work on a new N scale GP8 Paducah that will be in the ICG orange and white scheme. Jared has a regional soccer game tomorrow and depending on how they do, will determine if there are more games. After that I hope to finish the last two feet of floor and set up the Galesburg City Job modules and maybe start working on some track painting.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Track work, wiring, scenery? Let us know. We'll come back here on Monday the 19th and report how we all did. Until then, work safe, have a great weekend and...

    High Greens!

If there is train work it will be decaling and weathering. Its easy to keep set up and make visible progress in short bursts. Of course I have one soccer game at 0835 tomorrow AM and then the other kid's soccer practice on Sunday - sound familiar Jim?

Along with the usual family weekend commitments... I will be:
    • Installing slide switch ground throws on at least two more turnouts
    • Installing some more track
    • Building up a ME 80' deck bridge
    • Building a couple of T-TRAK modules
    • Having some friends over on Sunday to paint and install backdrop and maybe install some fascia.
Fingers crossed, it should be a pretty good train weekend.

Not sure how much modeling I'll be able to do (looks like a busy weekend). But, I hope to continue working on my N Scale SW-1. Getting it ready for Tiger stripes.

I picked up some lumber and supplies. Time to continue the building. I need a swing down section built so I can build mountains. Also I picked up supplies to make carts. I will build them this week and next week paint them. The carts are for my mobile staging yard.

Well now that it is not almost 100 +/- in my garage I hope to begin sorting the garage in preparations for adding insulation and proper wall and ceiling treatments. The little woman does not know it yet but I am looking into moving the washer and dryer into the house and out of the garage. I'm sure I do not have to explain why but I will. The model railroad empire must leave a tidbit of space to park a sizable motorcycle.
