Ah spring is in the air! The birds are singing, grass is green, flowers are in bloom. I love this time of year. Too bad I'll be indoors all weekend for work.

Yes, like sins, I must pay for my actions last weekend and work late tonight and all day Saturday. Sunday of course is Mothers Day, so I doubt I get much done with all that is going on Sunday. My GP38's are out of the paint shop and ready for decals. I had hoped one would be ready for sale at the Columbus N Scale Weekend next week but I ran into a glitch with one of the units. Turns out, I'm missing a set of handrails and clear number boards. I made a quick order to Atlas yesterday but I don't know if the order will get here on time. My new T-Trak module for next weekend has track so worst case scenario, I'll have a mini plywood plains module. I would really like to get the motel built but time is a commodity I just don't have a lot of. Next week however, despite the state of the GP38's and my T-Trak module, I'll be taking off Friday for the Ohio N Scale Weekend and will have fun. I'm looking forward to this mini vacation with my N scale club.

So how about you? What is in store for you this weekend? Let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 11th to see how we all did. Until then...

Happy Mothers Day! For all the women who put up with us and our hobby! and of course...

    High Greens!

The nice weather will take a toll on my modeling, I'm afraid. My bicycle and I have been getting reacquainted after a long, cold winter, and I'm hoping to put some more miles on it. Doctor's orders, actually, as my blood sugar is too high, but it's a prescription I take with great enjoyment.

I have the branch line all glued in place, except for the last bit which runs up to the turntable. I got that running, although it needs some adjustment, but I've got a problem with power to the bridge rails. That's got to be investigated. Once that's done, there's a runaround track so the turned engine can escape to the other end of its train.

After that, who knows? I've got a lot of projects on the shelves in my workshop.

I'm stoked this weekend. Having 80 boards of sheetrock delivered to the house today for the train room. Contractor is starting hanging drywall later today and through the weekend. Next two weekends will be taping, spackling, sanding. Been a long time coming. Can't wait to get the 3rd version of the Albemarle Division back up and running.

This weekend, I am hoping...no, I WILL make room to start modeling again. I have been neglecting my trains and other models way too long, but oddly I have been buying supplies as much as I can. I have a new spray booth, paints, camera and lights. It's about time I build something to photograph!

Maybe we'll see something in the Monday 'Weekend Accomplishments' topic? :)

A couple of days back, I started working on an HOn30 caboose kit. We'll see how far that goes. No NASCAR or hockey available to watch this weekend, so....

I don't know if it will be a model railroad project. lol I have several model car builder friends that have really been on my case about only posting photos of model car boxes. I might do some photography of some of my new train models though.

Work will continue on the Proto GP18 that will become GTW 4703. More decals, details, and maybe reassembly and testing, if the weather isn't too good - the forecasts are splendid with warm and sunny weather, so I'll probably catch some photons and let the GP18 rest a while longer...

After the winter we just had (the geese are about a month late), we deserve this!

I WAS going to purchase all my materials for the bench work and get started this weekend, but I'm suffering from gallstones, so another weekend of armchair modeling for me, and some pain meds..

Well plans got sort of trampled for the weekend as I had to work and my local hobby shop was too close to closing for me to and finish getting my track together for my layout. However I do have a merchants row 1 kit I can put together or at least paint. If anything I can tackle my C&O depot kit as well.
