Funny how the more I try to plan, I'm still never ready for these shows. Times up for me. As soon as I finish this post, I'm off to load the Cherokee and head Eastbound to Ohio for the much anticipated N Scale Weekend. I got most of the painting done and was finishing up the Rock Island unit last night. I didn't get nearly enough done on my modules and in fact ran out of thinner while painting the concrete section on module two so.... Today is set up and pizza, so I hope Bill and I have everything we need. I'm hopping for a nice relaxing trip with no issues and hope that my hard work in the shop these past few weeks pays off. So how about you? Anyone heading to the N Scale Weekend in Ohio this weekend? If so, stop by the layout or my table and say hi. If your staying in your home area, let us know what you have planned. We'll all come back here on Monday the 16th and see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and... High Greens!
Tomorrow is Train Day. The Longview Kelso & Rainier Railway will be at the Oregon Rail Heritage Museum in Portland with our portable railroad. Won't be getting any model work done but will be running them.
We have a secret visitor coming in from Germany -- so, until I find out who our mystery guest is -- I have no idea, if I'll get in any modeling time. Ya'll have a great weekend, Wolf
Just home from Train Day at 19:30 Train Day was a great success. The place was packed with lots of folks. I took my "California Zephyr" and it ran flawlessly for three and a half hours. Lots of people commented on what a great looking and running train it was. The LK&R was located by the Alco PA-1 and in front of SP&S 700 in the museum. Our railroad was a real hit with visitors. No model work today but put lots of miles on the "California Zephyr"
