Another long work week is about done and with Friday here, many of us have the weekend on our mind. What do you plan to do this weekend Model Railroad wise?

I'm axiously awaiting the weekend as for once, I'm not sick and the weather will be above freezing. That said, I'll start my Saturday by heading to Bloomington and helping out my club get ready for their March Fun Run. Our club has not had a open to the public Fun Run in a few years and this year we have invited a few HO and O scale clubs to join us at Heartland College in Normal IL on March 29th for a day of fun. Since it has been a few years since the club N-Trak modules have been used, we have a work session tomorrow morning to get them spruced up and running again. Our club will have both N-Trak and T-Trak modules at the Fun Run, so once I'm done at our work session, myself and another club member are meeting for lunch and trading his T-Trak module kits I ordered for the club and picking up the needed track he ordered for the club. After this, I hope to finally build the last section of my N scale layout. My "shop" for doing wood work for modules is in a storage unit and the past few months have been too cold, even with a propane heater, to get any work done at all. Any spare time will be used on my T-Trak modules as the show season for me is gearing up, one per month until July. If Sunday is as warm as they say it will be, I'll be a good boyfriend and spend some quality time with Angela and do a bit of hiking. I have been wanting to go hiking for months now and the winter bear fat needs to go! A busy weekend and an optimistic list, hope on Monday I can say I got it all done.

So how about you? What will this weekend find you doing? Track work, DCC, painting maybe some will get in a bit of early spring skiing? I miss that activity. Whatever your endevours are this weekend, let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 10th and see how we all did. Remember! This weekend, on Saturday at 2:00 a.m., we set the clocks forward, or what I like to call, setting them back to normal. That means an hour more of light in the evenings. Must mean Railfan season is close! Until we meet back on Monday, have a happy, safe and productive weekend and...

    High Greens!

Skiing it is for me once again. It should be fine ski weather, as opposed to the bitter cold we've had for weeks.

I've been realizing, though, that I get nothing done layout-wise this time of year. If I'm home, I have to do taxes, so there's limited "quality" time for the railroad. Perhaps, though, I will start some afternoon by cleaning off the big table in the garage where I go to cut big pieces of wood. It's time to think about the benchwork for Phase 3, the removeable bridge across the aisle and the corner section where the track turns 90 degrees to go to stagine.

Work continues on the UR. I am almost finished laying track on the HOn30 line. Waiting to order the switches I need to continue laying track. So over the next two weeks I will be starting scenery until the parts come in.[IMG]
