Welcome back everyone to the gateway to the weekend. I hope you all had a good week despite some of you doing the dreaded taxes. Let's get started.

Saturday: Since December, I have been working on a major work project for Athearn, so it has taken up a lot of time and weekends. This weekend, knock on wood, I should have a little bit more time to work on personal projects. The Falcon has been waiting patiently for its new fuel pump and after receiving the wrong kind by mail and a short wait time for the correct one, I'm hoping to get that installed Saturday after a fresh cup of coffee. The weekend is supposed to be cold and rainy so I plan to work on the N scale layout which will involve mainly track work. I also owe the Mrs. some time so I'll find a nice quiet and relaxing activity we can share.

Sunday: Colder and rain which means I will stay indoors. It sounds like the perfect day to brew up some coffee, select some podcasts and work on N scale track. I also need to start working on my NTrak module again so that it is ready for our first set up of the year in May. I may work a little this weekend as I need to prepare Athearn for the Rocky Mountain Train show in just a few short weeks. After that, the wife will likely spoil me with one of her homemade dinners which we can enjoy together whilst watching a movie. We shall see.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? One thing that you likely will have on your to do list is setting the clocks forward one hour in your workshop. We don't need any cornfield meets on our layouts! Yes, Saturday night we advance to Day Light Savings Time, or what I call normal time as I like the sun setting latter in the day. Makes for better railfanning. Beyond short intervals of time travel, what other activities do you have planned? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 13th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe, stay healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

Happy Friday all! This weekend we'll lose an hour. Although my NC State team got hammered in the ACC tourney by Clemson so I won't be watching the 'Pack anymore. So maybe I pick up a net hour. That's valuable RR time. My son/daughter-in-law will be here for dinner Saturday as well, so no doubt the Mrs will have me grilling and other thissa and thatta. Plans for the weekend are:

    1. This afternoon and Saturday: Work on installation of 2 new turnouts that will be below the new bridge system I am working on.
    2. Sunday: The plan is to work on some engines, decaling, fitting new coupler on them, etc. Possibly some new decoder work.

Have a great and peaceful weekend all!

So glad it's Friday! Rain here today. Hoping for a quiet evening getting caught up on some new episodes of shows. Saturday is the NMRA Piedmont Division train show just up the road in Cartersville. The weather is supposed to be decent Saturday with a high around 60 so maybe I'll be able to do a little railfanning after the show. Sunday is predicted to be wet and rainy. No specific train plans other than maybe messing with anything I might find at the show Saturday.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

    Friday:
In the morning, Moose going to head off to do some hiking in da woods with Mrs Moose. Maybe see some relatives on the trail - who knows!

In the evening, Moose going to virtually attend an NMRA clinic "History of the Northern Pacific Prairie Line". Should prove quite interesting!

    Saturday:
In the morning, waffle breakfast followed by virtually attending an NMRA discussion aluminum bench work.

Afternoon, whatever Mrs Moose says ... hoping she says: "Moose, go spend the afternoon designing your McGiffert-Lidgerwood-CrazyMoose yarder & log loader contraption."

In the evening, spend some quality time with Mrs Moose!

    Sunday:
Do some more preparation for the flooring contractor so they can sand and seal the floors.

Hope they remember to turn the gas off so as to not blow up the house!

Hope everyone has a great week

My grass had the audacity to grow this week . . . . so I expect to be mowing . . . then a bevy of boy and girl scout activities for various family members - and all down a car as my Pilot threw its tensioner pulley and bracket this week so badly I have to get a new plat for the front of the engine to bolt it to.

Good morning from cloudy, cold and snowy Northeast Ohio! Do I sense a trend here!

I hope to get the first coat of paint on a couple of projects and do some kit assembly before going to bowling tonight.

Work on the bowling tournament over the weekend, but I may get some more kit assembly and decaling done in the evenings, depending how tired I am especially after losing an hour this weekend, seeing as how I have to get up at 5:00 am to go and check the alleys.

    Have a great weekend!

Rainy here, too. Not unusual for the Pacific Northwest in March.

Friday: With the rain, we will start out making a trip to the storage unit. My wife needs some stuff for a wedding shower project. Might mean a trip to a craft store. Then I will have some modeling time. Plan is to finish the milling of Mikado drivers. Did one side yesterday and am pleased. These are the actual, final versions so no turning back now. With that completed I need to spend some time with the taxes.

Saturday: Start out watching a soccer match with the wife. There is a small chance we head to the mother-in-law's house to tackle the chores that got cancelled last weekend. Most likely I will be reworking the exhaust system for the laser engraver and paint booth. My previous attempt could not handle the requirements. Finishing that project is dependent on some parts that are predicted to arrive in Saturday's mail. I do have Sharon's support for this project as I have been designated to produce some "accessories" for the wedding shower on the laser.

Sunday: I expect getting the spray booth and engraver back in operation will take me through Sunday. The taxes will likely need some more attention should I finish the hobby project. Should I actually find myself with extra time, I will see what inspires me.

    Stay safe,

The weekend is supposed to start out wet so we will be starting the spring cleaning with our bedroom. By we I mean me since my wife cannot deal with the dust with her asthma and allergies. This is the time where everything under the bed and other furniture gets pulled out and the wood floors get a heavy duty cleaning. At some point we need to run to the pharmacy and grocery store.

I would like to finish the Accurail Fowler wood boxcar I started this past week and perhaps start car number two of the three car set. Since the decoders arrived I my try to install another one or two. Another item is to begin making the streets around Union Station and planning for the grade separation of the tracks and road crossing.

Daylight Savings, some pro, some con... Ops session! Bah'beh'que! :) Train show! :p History clinic. (y) I hate car trouble. Hello back from train derailing Alabama. Taxes! We don't need no stinkin' taxes! Final version imminent, cool! A Fowler car, interesting. Last few days saw laser production of outside braced wood boxcar sides. I am also working on running gear for same and three locomotives. I "obsoleted" an older boxcar that was less well made and cannibalized parts. The weather here is improving so maybe less time on modeling. Gotta' get out while you can. :sneaky: Have a safe one. :D

I received a data-only Accurail hopper and some decals from K4 while on the road this week. I think that I'll work on my new project of bringing back the Wichita Northwestern as a regional short line in a more modern time....

    Have a great weekend All,

Probably not a lot of modeling to get done-one of my daughters has a birthday Sunday so we’re hosting a party at the base’s indoor poor and letting her open present on Saturday so we can go to Tokyo Disney on Sunday.

I have been picking away at weathering a MILW boxcar in the evenings this last week so I may be able to finish that up in the margins of Saturday.

I got her (among other things) one of those Athearn mechanical reefers with sound. So if she wants to start to weather it together, we may do that instead.

Working on some table wiring this weekend, trying to get all of the lights wired up so I have all of my holes drilled before I finally get to the greenery. I'm also going to cut about 2 inches off each trunk, I think I made the trees too tall.

Back in the '80-'90 I did the wiring on a club layout for similar DC layout. I don't remember much of it because the electrical engineer drew up the plans back then. I was just the best for wiring. May get back to it soon in N scale. My HO is DCC.

Nice! I've always been handy with wiring stuff up thankfully, plus I'm spoiled with the wealth of information on the internet, makes life easier sometimes! I may make the switch to DCC in the next few years but I am content with this setup for now anyway :)

Finished hooking up the shop lights and tucking the wiring away, I'll get this installed on the layout today:
