Welcome to June everyone! What is possibly my one of my favorite months of the year has started and boy will it be a busy month. Starting today however, I'm off helping my wife Angela work at the Horizon Hobby RC Fest taking place all weekend. Saturday: RC Fest Day two. I'm volunteering and will keep busy with my own 1/10th scale trail truck, which of course is a Jeep Wrangler. This is a fun segment of RC as the goal is to build a truck as accurately as possible to the full scale, be it a Ford Bronco, Chevy Blazer or in my case, a 2012 Jeep Wrangler JKU. Even the tires, wheels and parts are all licensed by companies like Warn, Goodyear and Poison Spyder. Hope Jess doesn't get jealous of her RC mini me. Sunday: RC Fest Day three. Probably just help out where I can. Athearn is supposed to have a display next door at the Monticello RR Museum. I hope to check that out. That might be the extant of my model railroad activity. So how about you? What do you have planned? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 4th to see how we all did. Until then, stay cool, use sunscreen and above all... High Greens!
Saturday: Getting to work on my Lark: As well as working on my downtown buildings. They need detailing. Sunday: Same as Saturday -- LOL Y'all have a great weekend!! Wolf
While Jim will lasso & tackle the bull Rhino, I'll stay in the helicopter... (Wow, that's an old reference). Working on a couple Galesburg City Job modules to get them "more ready" for the Galesburg RR Days train show. Some repair and addition of new details. Pics later...
Today, Soak City in Buena Park, CA Tomorrow, the annual Girl Scout Cookies Sale trip to Disneyland Sunday, hopefully I can get to a hobby shop that sells railroad paint so I can buy paint for my interurbans before the 400 mile drive home
And - if you have time --- you can visit me --- I'm not too far from where you are at. I'm in Westminster. Wolf
At this point I just want to sleep all weekend. Nothing planned for Friday and Saturday. I have a reprieve from painting house for two weeks so Sunday I hope to get back to my track that needs laying.
Download JMRI Decoder Pro and stare at it. Figure out what's going on. Got the PC in my work shop set up this week. Maybe I'll get the programming stuff I got installed. Work in the train room. Finish off the (seemingly never ending) wiring job I took on, but its about 2 hours from being... dare I say it. DONE! I may even turn my attention to some scenery. We'll see. Happy weekend all.
