Wow, another week has flown by. Time to discuss what we have planned in the model railroad department. My part time job is on a loose schedule so my weekends are all over the place, but I will not complain! I'm getting more done in the shop than ever before. I work on Saturday and Sunday but I'll be off work Sunday by 1:30 pm so I hope to get some work done on the Galesburg modules. I've been busy with Wiggin Locomotive Works on my week days off, today will be one of them. I finally finished all the photography on the Chicago Central GP38-2 Wednesday. I also have a Atlas O scale GP60 in the shop followed by a N scale Paducah GP10 in the classic ICG orange and white scheme. Busy times for sure, so what about you? What plans do you have lined up this weekend? Painting, building, kit bashing, whatever your up to, let us know. We'll come back on Monday the 20th to see how we have all done. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and... High Greens!
Now that my airbrush is up and running, I have paint projects lined up. Problem is I paint in an unconditioned basement, I have to pay attention to the humidity levels when selecting paint times. Apparently I also have some old paint to filter too. If none of that goes forward, I also have a diesel service pad I'm working on for the Baton Rouge Yard. And Jim, please for the love of all things Paducah (!), document your ICG Orang paint formula somewhere. I used to us IC Orange from model flex, but my last bottle is not in good shape anymore.
I'll be launching my two-week vacation with a trip to the Seaway Train Show in Long Sault, Ontario. It's a smallish affair, but I've never walked away disappointed. And it will be a nice summer drive in my big red Crown Vic. Road trip!
Now that my telegraph poles are strung (and that was an adventure itself) I'm started on the module's backdrop.
