Welcome to 2015! This is the first Modeling weekend of the new year. What will be your goals this year?

I'm afraid the first weekend of the year will not be too productive for me. I have to work Saturday all day and Sunday, there are rumors of a family shopping trip to Springfield. With seven of us going, mainly women, the chances of this not taking a full day are slim to none. Apparently women like to schedule a full day to devote to shopping. Personally, I would rather stay home. I used my day off Wednesday and Thursday to work on my modules but if I have any time I can sneak into my office, I plan to install the main bus wire and pig tails to module two and maybe even lay a stretch of track. Now that I'm employed once again, I can order the turnouts I need for the second module and hopefully start laying track on it next weekend.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? While you're at it, let us know your long term goals for the new year on your modeling, be it modules, home layout or club layout. We'll come back here on Monday the 5th of January 2015 and see how we all did. Until then...

Jim's glad he's employed again, and I'm glad that I'm not. With December 31st back there somewhere behind the caboose, I'm officially retired now. I'm working on too many small projects, so I'm trying to clean them up so I can focus on one thing at a time. It got cold suddenly, and I'm waiting for a warmer day Sunday to do some spray painting and wood working in the garage. I need to get a control panel cut for the new staging yard, and the window inserts painted for the "Paceline Manufacturing Company," the decals I chose for the structure I built up out of Walthers "Quality Investment Castings" kit.

My plans are to keep trying....

For this weekend, I'd wanted to cut a couple of T-Trak module skyboards. Just finished one, and now measuring the next!
