Well you've done it once again! You've made it through another work week and it's time to to look at the ole' list of train projects - it's time for Weekend Modeling Plans!

I'm hopping for a productive weekend starting today. I'll be working for myself and getting two locomotives (The Paducah's) ready to start earning their keep on Dave's AKA PPUIN's layout. Thanks to my not-so-local hobby shop, both decoders are installed and programmed. Now all I have left to do is build up some Micro Trains #1015 couplers, install them and final assemble both units. I can't wait to see these two pulling a string of covered hoppers.

Saturday, I hope to work on the layout some as well as some other custom paint projects. I'll be a bachelor Saturday so I hope to tune up the podcasts and make a lot of headway on the modules. I'm heading to the big show in Massachusetts next weekend and with items on the list to purchase for the modules. My plan is to get everything done so when I return, I can start the next phase of the construction.

Sunday, I plan to deliver Dave his Paducah and show my sweetheart his awesome layout. Ang has never seen anything like this so I'm curious what her reaction will be. It takes about 2 hours to get from our place to Dave's so we'll enjoy each others company on the ride up and back with a nice dinner stuck in there to. Ang and I love these times where we can just sit and talk, even if it does involve trains some how.

So how about you? What is on the agenda this weekend? Shows, clinics, track work or scenery? Let us know. We'll come back here on Monday the 25th and see how we all did. To my friends on the east coast, stay warm and safe during the storm! Have a great weekend and...

    High Greens!

I started to do an inventory and match cars to boxes but it has become an uncontrollable monster so will likely just settle for putting cars away and cleaning up under the layout so the 5 cases on boxes can be stored there as opposed to up in the attic.I also have 2 Atlas GP 30's that I put Kato motors in and one is still sluggish so may work on it if time permits. Am also cleaning out the garage so who knows?

I think I may finally start building one of the laser cut wood kits that I have.

Hopefully get HCD #2 painted in Zinzer or whatever the mold blocker I have is called. Maybe even mounted to its support structure, but I only have Sat. to do anything as Sunday is when we're celebrating my father's birthday. He'll be out of town for the actual day like he is every year.

Going to start working on a Pacific Motor Trucking off loading ramp. (Simulated concrete). Double track. Perhaps, get the last bit of wiring done on the layout.

    Thanks,
    Wolf

Let's see, what to do-what to do?

After the blitz this past weeks will move along to another project since I need to buy ground foam and paint. The options are as follows:

    Wiring of the staging yard
Lay the staging yard feed track also includes adding a small swing down section to bridge the gap
Hang a gang box (tool box) on the fascia
    Rearrange some of the industries
    Install decoders
    Build structures
Start building the planes diorama section

My paint was delivered today. So hopefully I'll find time to mask off my observation car and get it all painted up. If time permits I'll also get on the computer and get to making my custom decals for said observation car.

I might get a chance to sit down for an hour....

I typically don't have free time during Girl Scout cookie season

Here is what I have been working on

Reminds me to keep some cash on me. The local Girl Scouts camp out in front of the local BevMo. I love those cookies!
