August is upon us, along with the summer heat. Time to cool off and come into the station. Iced tea and sweet tea for our friends in the south is sitting next to the donuts. Grab a chair and settle in, time to talk about trains.

Saturday: Despite the heat, I plan to work on a few things. Mainly Jess. I ordered her a new soft top and I have rebuilt a soft top frame for her. That project shouldn't take too long. After that I plan to build a carrier for the three B&M modules. I really regret not purchasing the T-Kits carrier when I had the chance. Unfortunately the owner of T-Kits, Terry Nathan, recently passed away after a fight with cancer. A great loss to the model railroad community. So, off to the garage I'll go to build a similar transport for the three modules.

Sunday: I'm hopeful that Friday will be a successful day in that I finish the one last custom paint project in the shop. If it is, I will be slowly organizing and packing up the shop. The Galesburg modules have been sitting idle since RR Days and ready to be packed. As time allows I hope to get as much packed as possible as I get ready for a new chapter in my life.

So how about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Shows, track work or a bit of painting? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 6th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay cool and as always...

Tomorrow AM around 6:30 or 7AM, I'll go up to the train room w/ my first cup of coffee, walk around looking at this, looking at that and about that time it will hit me what I want to do over the weekend. Probably be a myriad of stuff. So other than the coffee, I'm not sure right now.

I will be working. But, I have finished a not train related build; a Tamiya 1/35 M41 Walker Bulldog kit. My first armor build and I'm very happy with the way it came out. It's brought back my confidence and I would like to start with stripping and repainting my Kato F7s into WP colors.
