The track length on August is running short, better get those model railroad plans in order. It's time for Weekend Modeling Plans! My last weekend ended early on Wednesday when I was called in for work, naturally while I was in the middle of airbrushing. I'm scheduled until 9:00am today so what I didn't get done Wednesday will hopefully get done today. As far as the weekend is concerned however, the only chance I will have will be Sunday after my shift ends at 1:30. I really need to work on my Galesburg modules as I have not touched them since Galesburg and I hope to have them on display next month at the Decatur Train Fair. How about you? What do you have planned this weekend? Let us know. We'll come back here on Monday the 23rd and see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and... High Greens!
Today and Saturday are booked up for my high school class reunion. Marking fifty years since graduation.
Since last weekend was a bust due to the heat wave, this weekend promises to be cooler and much more productive I have two more Japanese locos that needs details added and I'm thinking of adding the details to my newer WP GP7. I might even work on one of my other interests; a 1/144 scale Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam.
Fairly ambicious weekend. I plan on finishing decaling another C&O Hopper, working on Westerfield kit (Rockn Island wood side gon), and of course painting in the train room. Also, I have a flooring estimator here in the AM to measure the floor area and get me an estimate on several floor options. Been out of town w/ Mrs. Kitbash the last 2 weekends so I may be over planning this weekend. We'll see come Monday AM!
I've built 3 of those Westerfield wood gondola kits (Frisco) and they are fantastic. Stringing the truss rods suck though. I need one lettered for Rock Island for foreign road traffic.
The class reunion went very well. Had 136 out of a class of 600. Good to see many that I hadn't seen in years. Got home at 01:20 this morning
