Good morning, good evening, where ever you may be. It's time to gather around the station and see what we have planned for the Weekend. Saturday: I get to start my model weekend off early. Tonight is our monthly NMRA "Fun Night" where we get together and build items. Tonight, we are learning about how to make a crossing system and I am looking forward to this as I need to set one up on the current and future layout eventually. Saturday, I'm heading out early in the morning to go to the quarterly NMRA show, this time in Newington NH. I hope to keep an eye out on a few items I need for my new HO collection. Sunday: I need to take care of some domestic items and I might take advantage of the mid 60's weather by doing a bit of flying (RC) or work related (UAV). I also need to do my taxes....YUK. Any time left over will be used to work on the City Job layout and get it ready for next week's show. So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 8th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always... High Greens!
Starting to get some ideas for the next set of projects. Should be a big weekend for me. I have an idea forming for a non tail served industry. Right now has a generic building holding the spot. With all the excess parts from the last two kits built I have enough for several buildings. Bobs Truck sales is gonna look good. Also now that I have all my rail served industries figures out except for two which are still being jostled around it’s time to start making car cards. Let’s see what I get done Sunday.
I have no modelingplans as I have just had shoulder replacement surgery, and at this time have little use of my right arm, but I can run trains one handed.
I have a few more things to tweak on my BL-2 project -- then she goes into the paint shop. Other then that -- it'll be play by ear -- Hope Y'all have a great weekend!! Wolf
Labeling conductors under the layout Working on steel beam bridge pier Possibly laying track and turnouts for an industry extension that I’ve planned. Also time permitting, working on Autocad drawing of staging yard control panel. My nephewowns a commercial printing ooeration and had agreed to print out my panel tops from drawing files I produce.
I'm moving! I'm finally getting out of my dinky little one bedroom apartment and moving to a cheaper part of California. Hopefully, can get a bigger place as the rent here is way cheaper the I lived in Santa Rosa, where I use to live. Got a new job to go with it. I'm not a big fan of drastic change, but this has been a long time coming and I look forward to this a LOT!
