The first weekend in April, its Good Friday and Easter this Sunday. Wow, a busy weekend for sure. How about a bit of modeling trains for good measure.

This is usually the Friday I spend track side with my good Railfan buddy Brian and partake of our yearly ritual, "Good Friday, Great Railfaning." Brian is feeling a bit under the weather and today's forecast is anything but pleasant so last night we agreed to postpone our ritual for a Friday when the weather is more stable. So on my day off, I plan to use it to get some items in the shop done, mainly a pair of N scale GP38's and update two of my CB&Q locomotives with a bit of maintenance and some DCC work. Saturday, it's back to work. Sunday, I'll head to future Mother in laws house for Easter in what I hope will be a nice relaxed day before going into the next work week.

I also plan on working on my future today, can't go into details just yet, but I have been hard at work for the past five months working on some things both personal and modeling wise that I hope to announce soon. Hopefully before Galesburg. So hopefully some interesting news for you all soon. Also, if your interested, click the link below on the Galesburg City Job that I have been working on the past year. It will give you an idea of the scope of the project. I try to upload new pictures every Friday and give updates as they come so feel free to "like" that page.

Now, what are all of you doing this weekend? Be sure to let us know. We'll all come back on Monday, April 6th to see how we all did. Until then, to all who observe the holiday...

    Happy Easter

    And as always...

I hope to finish up the little dockside project by getting the lettering/numbers on and putting it back together and getting it on the track:

Hope to change out a bunch of the freight cars on the layout as well...

Wonder why my pictures come out so puny?

Are you linking to the thumbnail on the "gallery" page instead of clicking on it to display the full picture and then linking to that?

I'll be heading north to ski for Parrothead Weekend, the traditional end-of-season celebration. We may actually not end the season here, as there is still significant snow up north, but in leaner years this has been it for us. I got some Tichy Bettendorf trucks and some details to play with next week.

Not linking to the gallery, but downloading the image from the Documents folder in my computer. On other sites I do it the same way and it comes out bigger, though I notice when I click on it the full size shows up, wondering if that is how it is designed or if there is a setting I need to change...

    Thanks for the feedback!

The way you've attached them, they are clickable (to view larger) thumbnails.

Hoping I can slip away to the big box stores in a few. I need to find a small hammer, and look at paints for painting backdrops.

    Four-day weekend for me! Woohoo!

Last weekend was more of a ham radio thing - I found some new toys with plenty of knobs and buttons to play with, so trains kinda took a back seat... ;)

But this weekend, I'll be catching up, with my Atlas GP7 nearly finished. Temperatures well above freezing might tear me away for a bit, but there's always time for trains.

And some more button and knob fiddling...:teeth:
