Welcome back to the gateway to the weekend! I hope you had a great week and are ready to get some work done with your layout or modules. Last weekend looked like a great weekend with lots of progress, lets continue that theme.

Saturday: We are currently in a never-ending cold cycle so it may be another indoor weekend. I'm hoping that maybe by May the sun will come out and so will warmth as I have a list of projects that require the garage. That said, in the morning I will brew up some coffee and work on the N scale layout then switch gears and work on the Falcon. The last mechanical thing I need to do is repair the 2-inch gap between the exhaust manifold and pipe. The previous owner took it to a shop employed by overzealous impact wrench crew members and crammed the two rusty nuts onto the studs. The result was a gap with the nuts so tight that even after a week soaking in penetrating oil would not free them without possibly breaking the studs. The father-in-law got a new tool that will heat up the nuts and we hope will free them so we can clean the studs, clean up the threads and attach the pipe correctly. Once that is done, I'll adjust the carb accordingly. After that, if we are successful, a beer and dinner will be in order.

Sunday: Another cold and rainy day. Yes, spring in Illinois rarely makes an appearance. My track from Denver came in after the first shipment had been destroyed by UPS. That means I can start work on the NTrak module. I'll need to remove the old track and carefully de-solder the feeders and re-attach said feeders to the new track. If I'm successful with getting all the track down, I'll return to work on the N scale layout. I need to install feeders on the other module then start laying out the three spurs. I'm almost done with track work which means next week I can build the DCC bus line and possibly run trains.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the last weekend of April? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday, May 1st, Mayday! Until then, have a great weekend, be safe and as always...

    High Greens!

    TGIF Y'all -

Well - not sure how much MRRing I will get in, this weekend.

Saturday - after our weekly trip to the grocery store, the wife and I will be heading to her place of work to pick up some chairs - to be taken to Good Will. (The joys of pick up truck ownership - not)
    After that -- We'll see

Sunday - Depends on what happens Saturday.

    Y'all have a great weekend,
    Wolf

No major plans this weekend, so I should be able to get a fair amount done.

Saturday I have a few errands to run, but I should be able to lay down a couple of graffiti tags on the top and one side of the pedal box for my co-worker. While it dries, I’ll add decals to a GHQ ambulance.

Sunday, I’ll add more graffiti to the last side of the pedal box. Afterwards, I should have some time to fade a ScaleTrains carbon black hopper and/or work on details for a GHQ police car or two.

Good morning and happy "wet" Friday from NC. This will be the 6th weekend in a row we've had rain here.

BUT, I cheated the weatherman a couple of days ago. During the week on a gorgeous day, I went out back and set up the table sprayed about 200 puff ball trees. So this weekend the plan is to work on scenery. I may get to some other things, but scenery is the big idea for the weekend.

Everyone enjoy the weekend and with whatever or wherever it takes you.

Happy Friday everyone! Saturday morning I plan to continue work on some freight car loads. That afternoon is my sons last tennis match for the season so we are going to that and then dinner with friends after. Hope to be home in time to watch whatever cheesy sci fi movie is on Svengoolie this week. Sunday afternoon, I will have to start some hard core clean up and organization of the layout and train room in general. My son graduates high school in 3 weeks and I was informed that instead of going out for a late lunch afterwards with a group that instead we will be having an open house/graduation party of sorts afterwards. I'm told several old friends who have not seen the layout will be coming by so want to make sure I am ready. That will probably consume much of my train time between now and then. Probably not a bad thing I guess.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Good morning from cloudy, mild, and rainy Northeast Ohio!

Friday, should start decaling a 50' Double Door Boxcar and hope to start work on the following kit:

I also took out a Moloco PC&F 50' RBL kit and spread out all the parts, can't wait to get into this kit.

Saturday and Sunday will be taken up with the final weekend of the Ohio State Bowling Tournament, after that in a couple of weeks it will be the Cleveland Seniors Tournament but I got talked into bowling in a summer league this year on Monday's, my wife was happy as that will get me out of the house at least one day a week.

Finally getting some nice weather here in Northern California but that also means more yard work.

Upon returning from Japan a few weeks ago I had discovered that the inputs to the DS64 that controlled one of my staging yards was not working. Resetting and re-programming the routes did not accomplish anything so I am giving up on this DS64 and am going to build my own control circuit like I did on the other staging yard. This was something I have planned to do at some point anyway. First step will be to make the circuit that moves the points at the entry to the yard and creates the return loop. As least then I can run the layout and use just the one siding on that yard.

At the bench I plan to work on finishing some modified HUMVEEs for flat car loads.

Wishing you all a great weekend whatever you are doing.

I plan to finish this lighting project. These things are a b--ch to get back together correctly. I have watched KATO's YT video on how but if anybody knows of an easier way , please share.

Once I get this one done, I only have 3 more units to go. Maybe by Monday I will have this one completed.

Done with trackwork...run trains! :p Keeping my fingers crossed for Sunday MRR'g. (y) Carbon black hopper. One of my faves! ;) Puffball trees. An idea whose time has come. I often watch "Svengoolie" myself. (Did just type that out loud? o_O) Hundreds of partses and more partses! I hate it when resetting don't work. Keeping my fingers crossed for successful car lighting. Yesterday I thought I had completed three tenders. :) Last night I remembered I needed steps. So the next step will be steps. (See what I did there?) Then, on to the actual locomotives. All have a fun and safe weekend. :D

You have a date with Destroy All Monsters (1968, Japanese, English dub). All the elements are there for a fine cinematic experience. :ROFLMAO:

Customized the boat and boater from Walthers a bit, and then building a dock so I can get the water in. I plan on cutting some match sticks in half down the center for planks.

Well for some reason trainboard.com likes to rotate your photos, so even though these were not taken upside down, not upside down on my phone, or my computer, they are upside down here.

All my written work for this semester is due Thursday morning at 9:00 am so that's pretty much what I have planned for the entire weekend. I still hope to get out the Sebring MRR club on Sunday even if its only for an hour or so. Other than that, I'll be organizing and writing.

Turnouts are now glued in place but throbars need to be soldered to the pointrails.
