Good Morning, good afternoon, wherever you may be. Welcome back the Friday's Weekend Modeling Plans thread. Let's see what we have planned for our model railroad agendas.

Saturday: The dealership is allowing willing sales people, limited work schedules and I'm going in on Saturday. While we technically are not "open", I can still do things at the dealership to get paid which is better then nothing. We can only sell cars by appointment and we must strictly adhere to all CDC guidelines. All of this reminds me of the John Lennon song, Nobody Told Me. Strange days indeed!

Sunday: I have started documenting my installation of the the last two Tam Valley servo controlled turnout controllers. I hope to finish most of this Sunday and update my thread in the N scale forum later in the week.

So how about you? What do you have planned? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 19th to see how we all did. Until then, continue to be smart and healthy and as always...

    High Greens!

Saturday - continue decaling the E8's - last weekend went well. Although, I have been popping air bubbles and applying more Solvaset all week (In preparation of this weekends decaling efforts)
I hope to get black paint on my TR6B project. Found some issues when I applied the silver. That's a good thing.
I will also start working on both an SW8 and an SW900 to go with the TR6B.

    Sunday: See above -- LOL
    Start decaling the TR6B -- ??

Y'all stay safe and healthy -- have a great weekend,
    Wolf

I'm going to continue working on my rebuild of Lester WA roundhouse around my springtime chores. I have to mow the lawns for the first time since last October, as it's starting to grow again after 6 months of dormancy. Also I have a bunch of vegetables to plant, sprinkler heads to fix, and some drip irrigation to plumb.

Here is where I stand on my Roundhouse project so far. I have the pits and frame painted, lighting installed, and the walls, windows, and window glazing started:

Finally got the second bottle of W/S realistic water so hope to finish pouring the creek this weekend. Will probably work on the electrical sub station kit and not sure if I will get into anything else or not.

Hope everyone has a happy and safe weekend!

Happy dang Friday! Plans for this weekend.
    • EARLY Saturday AM coffee in the train room
    • Do a little work on the SRM Meyers Building that I haven't touched in months
    • Maybe work on some other buildings for upcoming scenes.
    • "Hopefully" clean up the train attic some, which I have been threatening to do for several weekends. I get involved in a project up there and ... voila, it is Sunday night already.
Here's the SRM Meyers building I have in progress. Begging for more work.

Let's see. Tender mostly done. Needs steps, water hatch, hopper doors, rear steps, light, railings (?), and oh yes, graphics. :D

Like @rray I have grass to mow at some point - though we are about a month into mowing season down here on the coast. And like him I also have a whole sprinkler system zone I can't seem to get working . . . .

I also have a bike storage rack to finish building 1:1 in the garage . . . sawdust will be flying! Track work is currently on hold pending shipment of cork from one of my online dealers, so train room activity is probably going to be focused on digging into projects - at least to the point of remembering what I have to do.

Now that I am feeling better it’s time to return to the train room. With the cancellation of the NTS work on the modules is slowing to a halt. I will return to my HO ways for a bit and finish a couple projects I started there.

I found 8 more PS-2 covered hoppers and 2 ACF covered hoppers. I guess I am weathering more covered hoppers.

Unlike other some folks here, I'm not mowing grass this weekend, although it only snowed a little here today. I'll be working on stuff for the online classes I'm teaching and in between, I hope to put in some time on the passenger station again.

I recently picked up another Digitrax UT4 and had built a couple more throttle holders so over the next few days I am going to work on a number of projects related to the layout's DCC system including creating a drawing for the system and getting all the documentation better organized than it is.
I am also working on a couple of vehicles - a fuel truck and a Showcase Miniatures MoW truck.

Glad you are feeling better Kevin. Now days whenever someone says "not feeling well" it brings an extra concern. Yeah, with all the conventions and local shows canceled it is hard to get motivated to do anything on a module so all the effort goes into the home layout or other projects.

    Good morning,

I also did most of what I wanted to do on the layout this weekend. Installed the additions to the DCC system and got a Visio drawing started. I posted about this on my blog: https://palisadecanyonrr.blogspot.com/2020/04/more-additions-to-dcc-system.html

Also worked on my vehicle projects. Ordered some decals for some of the vehicles and also ordered some No-OX to try out on cleaning the tracks. It was a quiet and enjoyable weekend.
