We hit a record low of -15F yesterday and they exspect another record low broken today... :mhissyfit: :mhissyfit: :mhissyfit: :mhissyfit:
I have been replacing the water dishes for the chickens and ducks regularly. The ducks seem happy as can be. The chickens definitely stick to the upstairs part of the coop as much as possible, where I have installed a warming lamp. They seem happy, as happy as chickens ever look.

Our #1 Issue here the last two night is finding places for all the homelsss so they don't die out there... :mnerd: :mnerd: :mnerd: :mnerd:
It's even freezing and we had snow at the beach. I went out walking on the ice this morning and wind chill was something. Haven't felt that on my face since I quit skiing. If it stays like this, black ice on the roads in the morning, we may not make our annual trip to CA and AZ for Christmas with the kids. It ain't much better down there. :tb-sad:
What freaks me out the most? Glad you asked. It's bitter cold here, all day, without sun, with an ice-snow mix coming down. I wish my admin powers extended to the weather! But they don't. It's just brrr! here. Hey, it's only eight more days to the solstice! I never thought I'd be typing with my fingers frozen, and a hood up around my head. Hoods are good, BTW. My Alaska fur hat is too warm; it makes my head sweat. There's always plenty of steam coming out of my ears; the Alaska hat (made in China) just makes it superheated steam. Now there's an image. BRRR! Anyone got three dogs to lend me?
Third straight day here we set a record low, -8F today; but, it looks to be warming up now... :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin:
Hope you can make it, as it is not cold here right now, but sure is wet! It's raining cats and dogs as they say.
