Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, where ever you may be. Welcome back from the weekend. How did you do?

Saturday: I set off for a perfect day of snowmobiling with two of my co-workers and one of his buddies from Massachusetts. The weather was great, all the trails were groomed and fun was had by all until one of the older sleds broke down on the trail. Towing and picking up trucks and trailers ensued but in the end, fortunately nothing major broke on his sled and I was still able to get 97 miles of riding in. A few miles short of my 100 mile goal but there is always next weekend.

Sunday: I finally got to work on the City Job. The curved track that connects my two modules was finally fit in and cleaned. I think this time I will leave this piece loose, ala NTrak style and glue a thin piece of cardboard to the bottom, ballast and slide it in when operating. When it’s time to go, it can slide out and stowed. I spent the rest of the night cleaning track. I have a discussion in the N scale forum here, please check it out and vote as I’m seriously considering putting the layout in storage and going a different direction come spring.

So how about you? What did you get done? Let us know. We’ll all assemble once again on Friday the 1st of March. Wow, fastest winter ever! Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Well, this weekend was a bust -- model railroading wise.

Friday night was awesome -- messed around on my friends On30 layout.

Saturday - Was great (Just not with model RRing) -- I rode my granddaughter around our neighborhood on my bicycle, visiting parks.

Sunday - was kind of a bust. I couldn't get motivated. I did start on a couple of projects -- An F-7 set and a to be revealed Rock Island project. Basically, I did research. Removed some molded on details--- that's about it.

Hope Y'all had a great weekend,
    Wolf

Yeah. Mine has been a bit of a bust as well. I went looking for a reference photo I KNOW that I have saved on a disk. Couldn't find it. Then realized my DVD burner has been malfunctioning. So checking through everything, (many years of DVD data disks), and trying to recover as much as possible. Eating up hours fighting the software. Not sure why it works one time, and then the next does not... Meanwhile, the modeling workbench collects dust. Grrrrrrr.:mad::mad:

Great weekend of model railroading for me. We had a train show in San Jose this weekend so it started on Friday afternoon with me towing our Ntrak club trailer to the fairgrounds for setup. We had a great turnout from our club with about 18 members being there at least one of the days and most for all three days. On Friday evening after setup a bunch of us went to Famous Dave's BBQ for diner.

The public attendance at this show was really something, the most I have ever seen at this particular location. We did the biggest layout that we have done in a while and after correcting some bugs we got everything going. We ran the layout all day Sat and Sun. I got to run everything I brought and it all ran well. I am fairly selective at this point about what I buy but did find a few things to buy at this show. It looked like the vendors did well at this one too. I thought it encouraging for our hobby to see so many new Americans who are a large portion of the population in our area at this show, asking good questions of the layout exhibitors, and buying from the vendors.

It was also great to see old friends again and meet some new ones. After tear down I towed the trailer home. Later today I'll take it back to where we store it and put it away. Used to do that on Sunday nights but since I retired I just wait till Monday now.

Photos will be in next weekends "Weekend Photo fun" thread. Hope to have more of these in the future.

Still digging through 30+ years of stuff, I came across these pieces.

Athearn. When acquired, I think these were the only HO plastic models available of the PA's. The Santa Fe consist (both A units powered) prolly cost less than a single DCC contemporary model!

Even if dated, they are still... handsome.

Friday I was finally able to build one billboard (three to go), three conveyor belts, and my HOn30 snow plow. Sunday I got lazy. When I finally got around to working on the decoders I couldn’t find one of my tools. So I cleaned up the train room instead from this last mess making go round. I cleaned up the next section of layout to work on. I think my car show I want to put on is a little out of control.
