Happy first day of November! It seams that the weather has followed the retailers lead and skipped Halloween and Thanksgiving and has gone right to Christmas as we got snow yesterday and a whopping 25 degrees! Yikes! Good thing we have our work shops. Saturday: No longer a day off but it is my early day so I may try to get a few things done on the B&M layout. Sunday: I hope to start the process of building a control panel for the layout. Like the City Job, all of the turnout controls will be in a separate CTC style panel, but lessons learned on portability will be used on this panel and will include a small shelf to hold a pencil, un-coupler tool, switch list and the NCE hand held interface. We’ll see if my working Saturdays gets me out of domestic chores, but I have my doubts. So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We’ll assemble again on Monday the 4th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always... High Greens!
Saturday: Trouble shoot the two F3A's decoders. And -- drill holes for details on them. Sunday: Hopefully, get some paint on the F3A's -- start with silver noses. Y'all have a great weekend!! Wolf
Travelling to TN on Saturday to work on sifting through the paperwork in mom and dads house so probably no trains. Hopefully Sunday, I will finish up the ground cover and other things I started last week and begin a new area of ground cover.
Cleaning up train area before benchwork begins. We have hundreds of old VHS tapes taking up vast volumes of space and they're awaiting my wife's appraisal. Also looking at my old LP records. Created a list on Excel with catalog numbers and the only one worth anything (perhaps $25) is my Beatles Magical Mystery Tour LP, only because it's the Mono version. I'll be keeping it, along with a few dozen other LPs that have worth only in happy memories. Yep, we still have two working VHS VCRs and a turntable.
