Good early morning from the heart of East Central Illinois! It’s just a minute past 2:00am and in an hour, I’ll be on the road to Milwaukee. My Burlington portion of The Galesburg City Job is all loaded and ready for a fun weekend in Milwaukee Wisconsin. My buddy Bill and I will set up today and we plan to run 1966 era CB&Q and Santa Fe Saturday and 1977 era BN and Santa Fe Sunday. If you are at the show this weekend, please stop by and say hi. I always enjoy meeting up with Trainboard members.

Let us know what you have planned for the weekend. We’ll all come back on Monday the 13th to see what we accomplished. Until then, have fun, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Well, nothing like Trainfest out here on the west coast but we do have a show coming up Thanksgiving weekend and I better start getting ready now because it gets really busy before Thanksgiving around here.

So I'll need to start going through my stuff and decide what I am going to run then clean wheels, check couplers, program locos, etc. Module should be OK but I'll give it a quick going over just to be sure.

It's my turn to tow the club trailer and this will be the first time with the new truck which sits up higher than the old one so may need to pick up a different hitch to get a level height.

Those going to Trainfest have a great time, hopefully many photos and videos will appear on the internet for those of us who are too far away.

Now that our daughter's wedding is behind us -- it went very well. - I hope to get back to my trains.

However, I was informed yesterday, that I have some honeydo's for tomorrow. So, we'll see if I can get to my trains this weekend.

    Update on Monday

Hope y'all have a great weekend!!

Made a bunch of new signs for the layout. Installed, they will be.

There is a show this weekend in SLC but I won’t be attending. Lack of funds is always a good excuse in my book. Train room will be worked on though. I have come up with a plan to fix some track work and I may get around to some wiring.

Install more plywood. Ultimate goal is to get all of the plywood down to complete the "twisted loop" around the whole attic so I can focus on completing track/wiring in another big push. I have half of the track down now, but I'm tired of putting down 20 ft of plywood, then track, then 20 ft of plywood, more track.

I just googled "Road Signs" or the specific sign I needed. There are plenty of resources. Then scaled them appropriately in Photoshop and had FedEx color laser print on heavy cardstock.
I'm gluing them to extra long sewing pins.

What scale are these? I want to make some in N Scale like yours. They look great! What is the print scale for N? Would a toothpick work or too small?

Nothing like Trainfest...Nothing Like Trainfest?!?! Get ye to Roseville for IRF my friend. I will be making sure the kids don't kill themselves in the bouncehouse while Thomas the Tank Engine plays in the background on repeat, But Silicon Valley Freemo will be there running trains. RRMRC, Sac Valley modular, ETE ... There's even going to be a new European themed N-Scale layout this year. And for the first time in my memory, Daylight sales will be there. They are usually set up at Trainfest on Vetrans day, but they're coming to IRF, so get your new Train related t-shirt. (not sure if that means they have staffing for 2 shows now or it's not been worth it to travel. They are local to the Sac Area)
