This evening I found I can't stay signed in even when the box is checked to stay signed in. Site logged me out right in the process of replying to a post several times this evening and each time I re logged in I had lost my post and could not retrieve it. Don't know if it is a hiccup or pending signs of bigger issues. Found that when I left the web site and returned I was logged out again and had once more to log in even though the box was checked to remain logged in.

Basic windows platform with internet explorer. Note that It just did it to me again. I was off the site and checking weather and some news came back and had to log in again. This make about the 6th time in an hour, an issue I have not had before tonight. And right now even though I have re logged in it is telling me to log in the post this when I hit reply.

    John,

A few users have reported this issue with Internet Explorer. I have asked the software developers about it. Do you have the Firefox or Chrome browsers to try and see if this repeats?

We are not sure what is causing this for a few people.

I do have Firefox loaded on my puter and will try there. I am up to 8 log outs now. Make it 9 now since I am going to have to log in just to post this yet again.

Now on Firefox and trying again. Lets see what happens when I try to post this if I get a prompt to log in again.

If this is an IE issue, we will continue to try and figure it out.

Well it worked on Firefox first time. Could be related to the pending upgrade of windows that I am signed up for that is supposed to take effect the end of this month or in August. I just recently downloaded some upgrades in the last two days so maybe one was part of the new system prep. and could be affecting this. Strange though it is just happening now and not when I did my update of windows products over the last several days. I should have encountered this in some of my prior posts after that event. While I am here I managed to lose a prior post you had sent to me reference staff positions. Could you send it again?

Charlie, after saying that the IE-11 issue appeared to be resolved, it bit me one more time. Sorry, 'tain't fixed, McGee.

I asked the developers about this and it is apparently not a known issue. Of importance is that we have not changed any of the default settings regarding the login process or how cookies work. If we had, that would be something to look at.

I will continue to check on this. I just wonder if it is some setting in the IE browser's security settings or something, but unsure at this time.

This problem seems to have reared it's ugly head with me now.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and using Edge as the browser. I am getting kicked off during browsing occasionally and every time I mark a forum as read.

I did not have this problem with Win 7 and Firefox and don't have it when I go back to Firefox.

It seems to be an issue with MS browsers after IE9.

Just go back to FF. I would bet 10 won't let you load an older version of IE. 11 was really bad on a lot of sites. I am on FF now (probably 25.0, altho the User Switcher says I'm on 8.1 and FF36), but my other browser is IE8, last known good. My backup computer, fresh OS load, came with IE6 and I'm leaving it alone just...because.
I have been assured by IT professionals that there is no problem with 10, and just like MS, they follow that with "I am sure the next update will fix the issues".

There are plenty of compatability issues with Edge. It has no backwards compatibility in it the way IE and FF and Chrome do. It's more like a mobile browser. All html5 all the time.. On Win 10, force it to open in IE 11 and see if you have the problem. Or just install Firefox. Internet is filled with sloppy code and legacy. Best to have options.

Logs me out continually on Win 8.1 and IE 11. Is there a fix or just change browsers?
