This weekend my wife and I went down to Houston to visit with my neice and her hubby and my new grandnephew-little Preston Blake Coulter!!! So I got to hold him and sing Johnny Cash's"Blue Train"and Big Joe Turner's"Flip Flop and Fly"to him!!! And he promised to take him down to Flatonia soon so they can watch trains at the junction!!! Anyway,he asked me if I'd heard anything about building a new depot near Weimar. I told him"No I Haven't.The only station I know about in Weimar is the old TNO Depot/ Public Library.What have you heard??". He told me that Amtrak's planning on opening up a depot in either Flatonia;Schulenburg or Weimar for the Sunset. Now I knew that until Amtrak took over,the Sunset made a Flag Stop/Whistle Stop in Schulenburg,but I've heard nothing regarding Amtrak's stopping in either three towns. If someone has some info please let me know.
