She said she wanted to help out. Actually she does not mind the cold that much and any reason to get her camera out and she is happy.

Really like the layout !!! Also like the way you will mention setbacks or mistakes. Alot of people describe their work as nothing but success, you know ??? I found a place in Iowa I would LOVE to model about 13 yrs ago. I make the trip to Knoxville every Aug for the Knoxville Nationals and the BNSF branch that passes through town just is just begging to be modeled !!! Two large industries (3M and Hormel), two wooden trestles ( one over someone's driveway !!!), cement plant, race track, and ,of course, graineries !!! And the old passenger station is still there, also !!!

That would be an awesome place to model. This layout is going a little off from the original plan though. It is now on a "Wow I like that so lets build it" phase. There is an old train station and bridge on a friend of mines property. He says it is about an hour or so to hike back to it so it will have to wait for weather to warm up before I head back for pictures.
As for what id happening right now, electrical is the name of the game. Having some issues. Do not like how some buildings light up and running the wires though everything is rough. May have to expand before even being done as we want a round house and turntable. Basically this in an ever evolving design. Me and now the entire family are "Just having fun with the trains". Kinda cool find. I was bored and picking around craigslist and came across an entire n scale layout. It is described as being in good shape just needing a "little" track work to run. It is cheap and even if it is only good for parts it is worth the money. I am headed out this Saturday to pick it up. I should have pictures up that evening.
So what do you do when you are in the middle of a build and get another layout? I am trying to convince my wife it will be a great add on but she is not that willing. Thinking about maybe a double level layout? That would make track work a nightmare though. Certainly open to suggestions here. It is another 4X8 layout that would double my layout size. Shaun
