Walthers has posted stock number and road name info here: http://www.walthers.com/exec/newproducts/cr/200107/Locomotive A and B units sold separately. Curiously they list a B&O B unit but no A unit........... (See corrected stock numbers in post below 7/22) Other roadnames are: ATSF, CB&Q, C&NW, GN, NYC and WP MSRP and delivery date remain TBA Woo Hoo Don B [ 22 July 2001: Message edited by: dbn160 ]</p>
<blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by dbn160: A and B units sold separately.<hr></blockquote> Glad to see that. It'll make modelling the Santa Fe's unique combinations less of a hassle than if they were to sell them strictly as A-B sets. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Curiously they list a B&O B unit but no A unit...........<hr></blockquote> It looks to me like whoever typed this stuff in messed up. Notice that 69008 is listed as GN A unit, 69508 as B&O B unit, and 69509 as GN B unit. I would bet that 69008 is really the B&O A unit and 69009 is the GN A unit. Also interesting to note is that some numbers are skipped. I assume that 69000/69500 will be undecs, but what about 2, 3 and 6 (assuming I'm correct above)? Are there other roadnames/paint schemes planned but not announced yet? Dwight

<blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by dbn160: 69005 Santa Fe Silver/red Warbonnet <hr></blockquote> ARGH! That only applies to 1/8th of the Santa Fe FT's for a span of 2-5 years. Why?!?! Dwight
One of the guys on the Atlas N Forum (down until 7/23 for software issues) mentioned that he spoke to the Intermountain rep at the St Louis NMRA convention and that Intermountain plans to eventually release the N FT lettered for all RRs that ordered them (not sure about SBC (Mexico) and EMD Demo). Also, didn't the Santa Fe freight FT B units have the fifth porthole for the hostler? Have not seen the Intermountain shell(s) yet...... See ATSF 118 (with 5th B unit porthole) here courtesy of Railfan.net ABPR Archive http://abpr.railfan.net/june99/06-27-99/atxsf118billweibel.jpg Patience, patience, p a t i e n c e .......... I think the fifth porthole was standard on FT B units that were coupled to the A units instead of drawbarred. BTW, there is an excellent resource for info on the Santa Fe FTs (and other F units) at http://www.atsfrr.net/resources/funits/index.htm Dwight
